The one at that exhibition was fake. Only the peckham rock and the floor mat were real in the whole place.

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by noxviator13 on Apr 13, 2022 5:38:28 GMT 1, Just received a dreadful reply from Pest Control regarding my request for a COA:
"Your Banksy Authentication Request has been closed.
The information and/or images you have provided to accompany your Banksy authentication request are insufficient and do not meet the requirements needed to continue. The request has been closed.
Please resubmit here: pestcontroloffice.com and provide all the requested data.
Note: this is an unmonitored no-reply email account.
Thank you."
I went back to the folder of my saved images that I submitted to Pest Control and I can't for the life of me figure out what I could have missed. I sent them everything I had, Bill of Lading from air freight, original purchase order, edition # (photo of edition card as well), original packaging and unsealing requirements, email correspondence with GDP and photos required to submit.
The only items of variability for me are if they wanted me to submit the true measurement of the print as it is not an exact 70cm x 70cm per the original listing. My framer had measured it out to closer 71cm x 70.5 cm.
Or... and this is the big one for me that has me spinning... I didn't use my original purchase address in the opening entry of the authentication form, but i explained that i closed my old office and was no longer in business there. I used my current mailing address, but provided detail on the move and attempts to update my address with them.
Sigh.. Anyone have any ideas or hear back from Pest Control regarding their request for a COA?
I am debating to try and resubmit with my original address and hope i can get the post office to forward any inbound mail... Not sure what to do.

You’re the original purchaser from GDP, and they denied your COA request? Damn, that’s nonsense. There has to be a way to correct that wrong. I’d reach out again, and continue to do so until it’s resolved.

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Apr 13, 2022 8:49:54 GMT 1, It's the 'especially' in their massive disclaimer which is proving correct ie. People are getting more disappointed as time goes on as doesn't look like COAs are coming anytime soon?
Massive Disclaimer This is not a proper shop - it is an actual shop, it sells stuff and offers refunds and complies with data protection - but all the products are made in an art studio, not a factory. Everything is produced by a handful of people using recycled material wherever possible in a workplace culture of daytime drinking. So there isn't loads of it and it's not all ready to ship straight away. You are advised that GDP may prove to be a disappointing retail experience - especially if you're successful in making a purchase.

Although I appreciate this is frustrating, they have said you can simply reapply, you’ve not been blacklisted from receiving a COA. I would reapply, rectifying the points you suspect could have been an issue (measurements, any further photos you could include, potentially photos that show both your previous address from an invoice & your current?)
As someone who’s also waiting for a COA from a GDP item, I’d be frustrated just like you but there’s absolutely nothing you can do but reapply. Good luck

The information and/or images you have provided to accompany your Banksy authentication request are insufficient and do not meet the requirements needed to continue. The request has been closed. Please resubmit here: pestcontroloffice.com and provide all the requested data. Note: this is an unmonitored no-reply email account. Thank you." I went back to the folder of my saved images that I submitted to Pest Control and I can't for the life of me figure out what I could have missed. Although I appreciate this is frustrating, they have said you can simply reapply, you’ve not been blacklisted from receiving a COA. I would reapply, rectifying the points you suspect could have been an issue (measurements, any further photos you could include, potentially photos that show both your previous address from an invoice & your current?) As someone who’s also waiting for a COA from a GDP item, I’d be frustrated just like you but there’s absolutely nothing you can do but reapply. Good luck

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by Charlie Bronson on Apr 13, 2022 16:45:29 GMT 1, That had crossed my mind, I did take some photos from when i originally took it out of the packaging so maybe i send those in as well when i resubmit. Not sure otherwise, maybe take it back to the framers and have them take a bunch of high res photos of front, back and corners... then remount...
I don’t think that’s the issue. Many people on this board have been approved for a COA, using simple iPhone pics. I’m really baffled tbh.
Seems like a proof of purchase/transaction receipt along with pics of your ID next to the print number, and pics of the sig would suffice, as these are recent purchases and one would assume much easier to confirm purchase than older prints, which are, for the most part, getting COAs when applied for.
Have you spoken to other Banksquiat owners in regards to applying? What’s their experience been? Perhaps you just got unlucky and ended up with an incompetent asshole “helping” you.

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by Charlie Bronson on Apr 13, 2022 16:51:35 GMT 1, You’re the original purchaser from GDP, and they denied your COA request? Damn, that’s nonsense. There has to be a way to correct that wrong. I’d reach out again, and continue to do so until it’s resolved. I just had the exact same with two definite Banksy purchased at source. Sent really good photos, receipts etc. I got a print out how to take photos??
So strange. You took pics of your ID next to the edition number, pics of the sig as instructed etc.? What proof of purchase did you show them?

Where have many people been approved for the COA? I cannot find those posts, how do you know ?

There are a bunch of Pest Control COA threads/posts, discussing the process, and there are a bunch of people who have been issued a COA, albeit a very lengthy process, on average more than 8 months. Simple posts/responses like “they issued mine in X months” etc, on COA threads. There’s also a bunch that haven’t had any luck. Do a forum search and you’ll see the threads/posts.

I’m talking specifically for Banksquiat or any GDP item

I’m not referring to GDP specific COA’s; rather any Banksy PC COA. Strange that GDP/Banksquiat COA’s are hard to get. Seems like it would be pretty simple to confirm legitimacy of ownership; much easier than say a 10 year old print that has exchanged hands several times. Wonder what’s going on over at PC; truly bizarre.
