It is all very frustrating as on the email to us it said "We will not issue a CoA until the second anniversary of the date of pruchase. Certificates will be sent to the purchaser at the delivey address".
So I didn't think I had to apply for anything, and it would just be sent to me, around Nov 2021.
Why didn't it tell you you had to apply for one?
Anyway obviously nothing was sent and I forgot to chase until early this year, by which time all CoA enquiries were being directed to Pest Control.
I applied via PC with all the photos etc in March 2022.
Got an acknowledgment email and request reference number.
Not heard a peep yet.

Don’t expect any comms from them, I think mine ( not with a basquiat) took over a year and then randomly a coa was delivered. Just a shocking outfit, but no way round it. Good luck

I have found Tate ward ok to deal with compared to many other auction house’s.. Fast payments ,good rates and easy to deal with. I do not put certain items in but have had some great results with them. I have never sold an expensive Banksy with them as I have never owned one.

They’re much better to deal with and more reasonable than Christie’s or Sotheby’s. The art market is clearly just feeling the same pain that other markets are experiencing right now.
