I think there will be major regretful hearts in future. My guess (not hope) is it becomes limited at 5,000. And the prices will hit $20,000, given that a tourist hotel souvenir goes at over $1,000 these days.

These are not and should not be viewed as investment pieces, unless one plans on donating the profits to charity. They are sold in order to provide work & hope to refugees who are UN-welcome. I maintain that these should be bought on the primary market only. Anyone flogging these on the secondary market should be ashamed as they are quite literally stealing from refugees who have, materially, little to nothing.. My hope is these continue to be made as long as there is a refugee crisis, which will unfortunately likely exist for quite some time longer.

We are good bit beyond the third batch now.

Fairly sure I managed to buy from the third batch so going to suggest that this is the 5th or 6th. It might possibly even be the 7th.

My second mat was from the third release I believe so we are definitely way beyond that now.

It's simple math; They come out in batches of 500. If this round people are getting anything numbered 35xx+ that means there are likely 4k in circulation so far over the course of two years (or 8 batches so far).
