To me this takes away half the context of the piece which are the buckles that frame the matte. Why would anyone want to frame something that loses half of the pieces context. Sure it looks cleaner, but what a waste. |

I suppose it's a case of 'horses for courses'. Not my taste but then obviously lots of people like them framed. I did see one on here that had been sunk into the floor and covered with a sheet of what looked like clear resin, I thought that looked good, and quinn has done a great job 'fashioning' his table. Lots of cash raised for Choose Love so I suppose that's the most important part. |

Get where you are coming from this, so you need to be creative with the framing. Through the family business I have access to a lot of very nice pieces of carpet, some of which are antique. I will frame it by hiding the hanging tag and everything else behind the mat and set it in a reasonably large carpet mount. |

I think if you get it and agree with the message, displaying it on a wall, or in table etc. is a natural extension. It becomes a daily reminder and an important talking piece.

I guess I'm a bit abnormal thinking that art or even conceptual art should look good if taking the trouble to display it in a home. Concepts are easy to think of, but to make them look good should at least be worth the trouble for an artist to try and accomplish.
In coming up with with the idea, I really wonder if perhaps Banksy tried to think of the most ordinary type of household object that wouldn't be appealing to display, as a joke in the Morons vein, and is having a nice laugh looking through these Banksy threads. In my mind, he would have disdain for his biggest fans.
