Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Pattycakes on Feb 16, 2017 8:49:58 GMT 1, As far as I can tell Paddle8 is on the brink of chapter 11, if they go bankrupt then no-one will get paid, as I have been told that they do not have protected vendors accounts so the funds are not held separately. I know of a number of people owed money.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by chester on Feb 28, 2017 9:17:10 GMT 1, Who were you in contact with? I sold two items in December on P8.com and have not been paid even though my account said they have been paid! Communication awful and no one ever gets back to me. For anyone thinking of consigning I would think carefully.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Poster Bob on Mar 7, 2017 11:59:31 GMT 1, Beta Companies House says that Resolve took over on Feb 23, which is before people started to get paid. I would try getting in touch with Resolve directly to state that you're owned money in case they go under. I've included a link below to the filing which includes a lot of information on the takeover:
beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/05356001/filing-history
Then click on "27 Feb 2017 Statement of administrator's proposal"

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by roisaintlouis on Mar 27, 2017 10:55:00 GMT 1, Does someone here has been paid?
I'm in contact with William Hughes from paddle 8 but answer 20% of the time and the last answer was
"Very many thank for your extended patience and my apologies for the delayed reply. My understanding is that Administrator responsible for the winding down of Auctionata AG will shortly be sharing forms which will enable file a claim to against Auctionata.
It has been my understanding and expectation that such a form and the relevant guidance ought to have been issued last week.
Please notify me when you are in receipt of this form and I will help you where I can should you have any queries that I can pass on to Auctionata for you. "
Does someone knows something else??

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by samuelkl on Mar 28, 2017 6:38:43 GMT 1, Auctionata sold Paddle8 to an outside firm during bankruptcy proceedings. It is now operating on its own, separate from auctionata. I think it depends which company the consignor signed their contract with, or which country they are in.

I have a nasty feeling you guys will fall below the other creditors when it comes to priority.
Like i say though, im pretty dam cynical about these things! So hopefully i will be wrong.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Matt on Mar 28, 2017 11:58:26 GMT 1, I would tend to believe you are right tartarus
Reading "paddle 8 is an independent company again" does not mean Paddle8 is simply splitting and resuming business.
The typical approach would be to tank the merged entity (Auctionata-Paddle8) with all the joint debt (and pretty much no assets to liquidate).
At the same time, the liquidated entity sells the Paddle8 trademark for nothing, possibly a bit of the platform IP and/or the list of clients, so a whole new Paddle8 is created in the process.
I would assume the Paddle8 of today bears none of the liabilities of the paddle8 of yesterday which died with Auctionata

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by sleazus1slord on Mar 28, 2017 17:56:51 GMT 1, Sold a lot in the house sale that closed Feb 28 2017, buyer paid March 13, print shipped directly to buyer (Nevada to Connecticut via ground courier) March 21. I'm expecting to be paid this week, it's a few thousand $$. I work with Alan Zeng for appraisals, and Meghan McCarthy handles my customer service on the consignment side. Here's a quote from an email reply I received from Meghan when I asked her to illustrate a timeline of the process for me;
"We settle consignment payments once a week. Once collection has been confirmed, you will then become eligible for payment. I see your Bank of America account on file so you are set to receive payment via direct deposit.
Hammer fell on February 28th for '*******' and we received buyer payment on March 13th. The buyer payment is what triggers our collection and payment process.
Your ******* '**********' is scheduled to go live in our Street Art sale on April 6th.
You may also track your live consignments by using the "Your Account" > "Consignment" tools by logging into your Paddle8 account.
Please don't hesitate if I can be of further assistance.
Best, Meghan"

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by alk on Mar 28, 2017 17:58:50 GMT 1, I've always had good dealings w P8, even during the mess with AG. The payment during that time was late but I did get it after 2-3 months.
I think they'll pull through.
I have a small piece that just hammered on there, and for the prices they get I don't mind gambling.

I think you are the exception not the rule. I agree they get some strong results so I can see why they're an attractive place to consign. But for me their reputation is in tatters they owe people money and it's either a priority to put that right or it isn't. Weather they legally have to settle the debts is irrelevant. People put their faith in that name and that name is still generating profit for the owners. I think it's disgusting and I will never buy or consign with them I'd encourage others to follow suit and show solidarity for fellow collectors. Only by their customers exerting pressure on their bottom line will make them notice they're not managing this correctly.

I give them the benefit of doubt, that they haven't paid consigners due to bad business decisions and not greed. And it was AG that was the cause of the downfall not P8.
And I also believe there is a higher chance of consigners getting paid as P8 becomes profitable. If we all boycotted P8 at this moment i think those consigners with accounts owed will be f**ed.
