Essentially; Stay home, stay inside, stay off transport, keep apart - or else we'll have no choice but to enforce it. Seems to me that's obviously a coordinated message, and I'd think we'll have the enforced 'lockdown' by Wednesday at the latest, if not much earlier. Good. And will create a last stampede to hoard items , clearly self governing is not working and policing unfortunately is needed , public were given a chance but how many do not listen to advice , even in Italy and Spain where compulsory isolation some people are still flouting restrictions and jogging solely and in groups , but they are now arrested . big social experiment ,shut the internet down and regain family interactions and values ๐

I'm sitting in my house and have watched neighbour's go out, people walking past - often in groups- its like they refuse to believe. If you look at the trajectory we are on course to be worse than Italy and I'm scared it's already too late to reverse. Its frightening!! Wait, but the social distancing does leave room for someone to go out and walk the dog or for a person to go for a run on their own, right? As long as you dont interact with anyone and wash your hands/clothes when you get home. I really hate to say this but America will end up the most infected country in the world. I have seen and noticed so many people treating this situation in the worst possible ways. Surprisingly so many extremely well educated people are also acting foolish here. American ego will end up really backfiring on this whole situation.

New York alone has more cases than most countries. This is why stats could be distorted , are all states carrying out the same number of tests daily ? Some rural areas might not have easy access to testing facilities ? Cities close populated might have different effect to rural sparsely populated areas |

Agree. The numbers are most likely much much more worse than this. States are slacking on testing to keep their numbers low. Some states are also simply not prepared compared to others. New York no doubt is definitely the worse by a lot.

I imagine it only takes one person coughing uncontrollably in a crowded emergency room to take down an entire hospital if everyone isnโt wearing protective gear. Iโm sure in the future, AI and home testing hardware will greatly reduce this idiocracy.

They sold off all the hospitals in nyc to real estate development these past two years leaving only a very small number of hospitals left in NYC. Really stupid decision by the city to allow that. So now they will dock this medical boat to deal with this all. Trust me you donโt want to be on this thing.

The world is in heavy shutdown now , spin now setting up mobile hospitals
Why is not the uk starting this ? They are fortunate to see what's happening around the world and what struggles are had and shortfalls , already some hospital departments overrun and they admit it can be up to 10x more, why not pre empty the mobile structures now or set in place alternatives?
A lot of people battling depression and hiding it will find this may be the breaking point

They have set up drive thrus in many other state which is the right thing to do. Or unless you feel really ill you shouldnโt be going to the hospital. New York needs to figure another way to get people tested or many will get it waiting in line with one person who has it.
