Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Winter on Mar 25, 2020 14:14:11 GMT 1, Really? You really need me to explain? Yes. ย You seem strangely reluctant to do so. ย
Ok itโs all over the news that theyโre trying to build as many ventilators as they can to save lives. In fact if you look at the top of this page a link has been posted. It says the NHS has 8000 ventilators but needs 30,000.

There are some people in society that take things literally , adults with autism for example , living independently , working , holding down a fairly stable life but sometimes lack a few social skills and interpret things differely , then you have uneducated groups, groups that believe everything their president says , which trump has a lot of .then you have people in panic and not thinking rationally, your presented with death and no known cure and death with in 8 weeks , I'm sure a few people want to believe everything their told , in the news just mentioned the drug , not intricacies of doses ,types of variables etc

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 25, 2020 15:46:46 GMT 1, Suicide rates will be up , some people are already in a fragile state being isolated and financial hardships are rife , everyone needs to look out for each other and keep in touch maybe a bit more than normal .not knowing the future and some people just getting by on monthly wages now potentially reduced to 80%
An American statesmen quoted yesterday elderly should be let to die to save costs and burden on medical system.
Testing is the key which I thought since Chinese outbreak to get on top of things which now the professions are agreeing , the uk if not prepared to shut down earlier they had months to anticipate an outbreak and stock testing kits which would of been cheaper than a lock down now .2020 is wiped out

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by skAcid on Mar 25, 2020 15:47:20 GMT 1, EMPLOYEE NOTICE
Due to the current financial situation caused by the Corona Virus and slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.
This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).
Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to the Government to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).
Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).
A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as the Government deems appropriate.
Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).
Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by the Government.
Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. The Government has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.
Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your TD, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.
Sincerely, The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.)
PS - Due to Corona Virus, recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off. ๐

In fact if you look at the top of this page a link has been posted. It says the NHS has 8000 ventilators but needs 30,000. Yes, I know. My question (genuine not rhetorical) was how effective these ventilators are in dealing with seriously ill patients with the coronavirus crisis. It was not about how many there are or how many they think they will need. It is not a miraculous cure once your hooked up your cured , its a helping hand , depends on your physically condition and immune strength . the world is set for a re set if a vaccine is only found a year later

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by mojo on Mar 25, 2020 16:40:39 GMT 1, Does anybody know how many patients that are put on ventilators actually survive? I would have thought that if you are bad enough to need a ventilator to breathe then you're a gonna anyway. I'm not sure most people are aware quite how serious being put onto a ventilator is and the many complications it involves. I'm not a medic and my experience is based purely on being in recovery from a punctured lung the end of last year. Firstly, you can't just jump on and off of a ventilator, you have to be induced into a coma which in itself is not only traumatic for the patient it requires constant monitoring by very highly qualified doctors and nurses specifically trained in Intensive care treatment and is very high risk. One of the main risks of being on a ventilator is developing pneumonia (I did) and since this virus effects the lungs it reduces the chances of survival massively. If you are lucky and survive being paralysed from the neck down while in a coma the recovery is long, I've been advised it will take a year to even get anywhere near pre accident health and that my lungs are now permanently damaged. I was unable to walk, due to muscle wastage, speak and suffered delirium (hallucinations). I was very lucky that I didn't develop permanent brain damage and my doctors were amazed how fast I regained my full mental capacity. (I'm 100% NOT an imbecile which by the way is a highly offensive term used on this site far too regularly by vile people). Then comes the almost bi weekly lung x-rays, blood tests and rehabilitation exercises to relearn how to walk & speak. Then comes having to inject blood thinners into your stomach everyday, this doesn't effect everybody however after you've been 'hooked up' to a ventilator you are high risk of blood clots.
I'm NOT writing this for pity or likes, far from it, Im a survivor (so far). I just want to share my experience to alert people of the reality of being put on a ventilator and the long term recovery required. I used to swim 3 times a week and considered myself reasonably fit for middle age.
So PLEASE do as required and stay home. If you don't you are putting the NHS under even more stress that they obviously don't need as well as putting your self your family and others at risk of being put onto a ventilator providing there even is a ventilator available. Stay safe one & all. *just to reliterate I am not a medic and this is just my own experience.

To be honest I had no idea what being hooked up to a Ventilator was. Never thought about it before.
Sounds bloody awful,
Very glad to hear you're on the mend

Also reports Chinese being re infected and government now admitting no studies yet to discount this . Other conoviruse quoted a brief immunity is built up but re infections occur
Comparing to the flu previously but this is unique and unlike the flu So all government statements are made without facts , Just a calming measure

Other conoviruse quoted a brief immunity is built up but re infections occur Comparing to the flu previously but this is unique and unlike the flu So all government statements are made without facts , Just a calming measure Unfortunately, I think the world has already come to terms with the fact that 60%-80% will most likely catch this thing over the next year. We're simply trying to just curve the peak to ensure moving forward we slow spread, continue to practice social distancing, and reduce the overloading of hospitals and urgent cares.
If 80% of people are A-Symptomatic there is nothing we can do to stop this thing. It's the sad truth, but isolating for a full year until a vaccine is not possible. Unless by some miracle an existing drug is proven effective, but that is questionable. With the help of anti viral and testing, it will help continue to curve the virus to get us to the point of vaccination. On the downside, most of us will have statistically already contracted it by then, knowingly or unknowingly. Those at highest risk will have tough decisions to make as to how they want to go about their day to day lives and will remain highest priority.
I give it 4 weeks until US at a breaking point and the economy opens back up with mass testing being front and center until something better comes along. With more testing, the rates of dying will continue to be driven downwards, and we will have better data on how to navigate through it.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 25, 2020 20:57:42 GMT 1, Next few weeks will be made aware of more of the younger generation dying from covid 19 Also reports Chinese being re infected and government now admitting no studies yet to discount this . Unless in total isolation the longer this continues , the greater possibilities of infection, with the majority dying having had underlying health issues now a few reports of young healthy people dying agree unrealistic in total isolation until vaccine is found , but with all countries having different procedures ,refugees and migrants travelling in large camps across borders illegally and undetected this will continue if borders open without a vaccine .testing will help sensible people to self isolate earlier and lessen the strain on the medical services but with mutations in the virus and government talking about a second round the cases will still rise

With 15 minute portable testing, we will be able to reopen borders/travel ect once we have the capacity and production to facilitate.

You need to be posting up links to support and data for claims like these. I appreciate weโre all in the dark here but this is all wild conjecture.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by moron on Mar 25, 2020 21:10:26 GMT 1, Based on limited facts. Trump calls this outbreak, "the Chinese virus" He is pointing the finger at the Chinese government for not telling the world soon enough about this pandemic which resulted in the virus being spread globally and people dying who could have avoided the virus if the information was released by China a lot sooner. Doctors in Italy were reporting cases of a very virulant untreatable flu as far back as November last year. without being aware of this new virus it spread quickly and became an epidemic in Italy in February. The first known official case of Covid in Italy was a couple who had arrived in Italy from Wuhan China. "Chinese laboratories identified a mystery virus as a highly infectious new pathogen by late December last year, but they were ordered to stop tests, destroy samples and suppress the news, a Chinese media outlet has revealed.
A regional health official in Wuhan, centre of the outbreak, demanded the destruction of the lab samples that established the cause of unexplained viral pneumonia on January 1. China did not acknowledge there was human-to-human transmission until more than three weeks later."
www.thetimes.co.uk/article/chinese-scientists-destroyed-proof-of-virus-in-december-rz055qjnj
Who knows the truth and origins of the outbreak. Is there a connection with the Sars epidemic in 2002 A chimeric or mutated virus? Scientists say there is no ""evidence"" that the SARS-CoV-2 virus escaped from a lab. www.the-scientist.com/news-opinion/lab-made-coronavirus-triggers-debate-34502 Think all the conspiracy theories are tosh personally. It does raise the question over whether China will do something about their wet and dry markets where this likely originated from? Wouldnโt hurt to also crack down on the illegal trafficking of all sorts of poor creatures globally. I didn't post a conspiracy theory. Just some info from sources you are free to check if you want.
Bats that carry the corona virus took years of searching for and they were found hundreds of miles away from the source of the outbreak. They could not find any in Wuhan region. Plus they found different genes in bats which when taken as a whole, were 97% the same as the corona virus. There is however a biological lab only three hundred yards from the market in Wuhan.
I agree about conspiracy theories. There are some in the con theo game who are promoting that this epidemic is caused by chemtrails and drinking cognac protects people. Others say cocaine prevents the virus, Lots of con merchants out there.

I have posted a few previously , there is too much data to clog up the forum along with light hearted links from time to time . I am on overdrive to read all research papers I can find and track all foreign news as my 98 year old grandfather had pneumonia in December and has a weaken heart and is still under medical care also have a toddler so have a heightened awareness , so had chosen with family to limit all social activity weeks before government advice as of foreign countries procedures at the time most of the previous points I raise are discussed days later in the media

To be fair if you have the virus a bit of cocaine will make you feel better.
