Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Terry Fuckwitt on Mar 29, 2020 0:12:30 GMT 1, Anyone have any decent info on why men are much more likely to contract the virus and also die from it than women. They reckon way over twice the amount of men in UK are critically ill than women. When these numbers came up in China, they said it could be down to more men in China smoke, but that seems out the window now.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Terry Fuckwitt on Mar 29, 2020 0:21:19 GMT 1, We all need to become vigilantes right now. I've spoken to a few people I know that still are not taking this seriously. It pisses me off big time that they are going off to the shops, working or visiting friends and family when it's not necessary. It could be just the fucktards I know, but I think these fucktards might also exist elsewhere in society. If you know of any of these types tell them and tell them again what they are doing is wrong. Live on a quiet avenue Have neighbours that have a group of friends come over everyday and sit in the back garden๐ก๐

They are the germs. Cant stop them, avoid!
Its a percentage game. Always whatever the situation have around the same doing the complete opposite of what is right.
There must be some kind of law like the pareto one
What shall we call it?

There is not enough research done or information released to theorise a logical answer๐ Only noted what you have summarised

I had to Google that one, must have been a physics lesson I fell asleep in. But those numbers seem about right, must be about 20% of the UK population are in the fucktard bracket right now.
Don't drink all that panic bought booze, you need to ration ๐คฃ

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by J0NNY on Mar 29, 2020 0:46:19 GMT 1, Just stay home guys, we can all see itโs ramping up in Italy and Spain and it will ramp up everywhere.. Here in Australia people arenโt taking it seriously. Governments still have everyone working still, schools not all closed. Our director told us no one to work from home, when itโs easy for us to do so, as we are all geared up for it. So we all pushed back last week and are now working from home ๐ just reading this morning government announcing a package soon to cover % of lost wages for unemployed. Well see.. Good news though that my wifeโs sisters went out for first time in three months this week in China ๐ hopefully returning back to normal there after strict lockdowns. Everyone slowly returning to work also. Stay safe people
Our leader is the worst in the developed world no doubt and has been since he got in. If he looked stranger he would get so much mores**t from the rest of the world as Trump / Boris does. I look at Boris and commend him for what heโs doing compared to ScoMo especially when heโs job would of been 10 times more difficult at this time. Australia are cooking the books, you canโt get tested in West Aus unless you can prove you have been overseas or been in prolonged contact with a known case, they are acting like there is no community spread, which is gonna kill a lot of people unnecessarily. To be fair a lot of small business owners are deciding to close there doors, off there own back, as they are realising that the keep 1.5M away from each other rule is not working. Our leader cares about his business millionaire friends and his cult like church. Closes the Federal parliament until August, and then tells construction workers are essential workers! Gives Quantas $750M to get through this who then the very next day stood down 20,000 workers without pay! Tells the average Joe who is working to take money out of their pension ( which has already taken an absolute battering) if they get laid off rather than trying to put a little bit of pressure on the larger companies to help out a little (most of who are multinational, foreign owned, paid very little tax and have been actually taking Australiaโs resources and selling them for years ).
In terms of what Boris is doing, it seems like he is doing a hell of a lot more for the people than what is being done here.

The uk again has a heads up from china and Europe and we are soon to follow
Professionals already complaining ppe is insufficient , 1 set per shift in some cases
Kit out of date , not fit for purpose , no secondary ppe kit for shifts
Ppe is the no.1 priority for health proffesionals in the health care system frontline , the staff are irreplaceable if succumb to infection as previouly stated a high percentage of temporary staff are relied upon in the NHS are from overseas with a higher percentage of staff coming from, India ,Europe which now have their borders closed . If qualified staff present sick and no replacements , casualties will start stacking up quickly
Testing of staff is a secondary action to stop further infections but the main point and priority should be ppe

Call the police on them. No time for that behaviour. There is a social contract and they are not delivering on their end of it.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by pellets on Mar 29, 2020 1:00:15 GMT 1, I'm sorry if I offended people, I should have phrased my post differently. I'll try again... They are making progress with a vaccine, however it won't happen that quickly and so with the ultimate aim to save lives the government is locking away the vulnerable and letting the virus spread through the healthy population at a manageable rate. Diseases work in a way such that we gain immunity once we've had them. The flu mutates slightly each year but we still have immunity against the majority of it if we've had it in previous years. The body is thus primed to start fighting it and you won't get it as severely. This is why when a new flu comes about there is worry, because it can have devastating effects, like swine flu. So with Covid19, like other diseases, reinfection may occur if it has mutated, but the body will have antibodies to fight the bulk of it and the symptoms, in the main, will be mild. So, what I was trying to say, in essence, was that the best way to save lives is actually to let it spread in a managed way. If the medical and scientific advice had been contrary to this we would have been locked in our houses from the beginning.
I think this link might make the point you are trying to make but people might be more receptive to it cos its said by a Knight of the Realm:

Another inflammatory headline. Happens all the time and notice you donโt mention the 14k troop planned operation on the Russian borders we were due to be part of? The Coronavirus has nothing to do as you seem to suggest with some crazy James Bond plot to deplete overseas armed forces. Iโm sure thereโs plenty of other forums where you can hook up with like minded loons sat in their pants who like to spread silly theories online. Yes I appreciate youโll come back and state you have the right to say what you want but sometimes itโs okay to keep these thoughts to yourself

That's a good slot, thats like an AP in the art world๐ You must be on their VIP list as a good customer. I reckon a few Tesco high rollers here probably got a slot for tomorrow. They'll be flippin em on ebay soon...my mum didn't like Tescos so selling to upgrade to a Waitrose slot.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 29, 2020 12:46:11 GMT 1, Another inflammatory headline. Yes I appreciate youโll come back and state you have the right to say what you want but sometimes itโs okay to keep these thoughts to yourself Have a pint of milk to toughen up , the statement that you make is quoted with in the link ,response to Europe joint exercise , if you are familiar with current affairs ,Russia continuously tests the uk air defences . comment made in jest to another poster . if you are offended or annoyed by this and much far trivial and offensive posts are often posted ,you should stay at home after isolation restrictions are lifted

Thanks, luckily milks still on the shelves so will be sure to have a pint. No doubt you can post me a link where thatโs supposed to assist with Coronavirus from the Daily Mail or Fox News. Iโm in no way offended itโs just some of these posts are tosh. As you rightly say Russia, along with most other large nations, regularly run military drills (itโs a total non story). One of the worlds largest assembly of fighter planes not on sovereign soil belong to US which they regularly cruise around the globe. This doesnโt mean itโs a prelude for another crazy theory that someone has unleashed a super virus to deplete foreign troops! We all have enough on our plates dealing with the pleasures of life indoors and hoping friends and family stay safe.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by mojo on Mar 29, 2020 13:16:43 GMT 1, WTF is the actual point of sending a letter from our Prime Minister in hiding to every household in the UK costing 5.8 million pounds and adding huge unnecessary pressure on the UK postal system? The virus can stay on paper for up to 3 days. This is a massive vanity project that needs to be stopped now. I don't do twitter but for crying out loud please can somebody start a hashtag STOPTHEVANITYPROJECTLETTERFROMTHEPM. or words to that effect. Do they really think people don't have access to TV/Radio/internet/family&friends and are already acutely aware of the contents of the letter. This is utter madness and needs to be stopped.

The sole point in sending the letter is this line: โFrom the start, we have sought to put in the right measures at the right timeโ. Yet another very expensive lie. At least we'll all have something to wipe our arses with. Seriously this has to be stopped.
