Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 29, 2020 13:46:09 GMT 1, Have a pint of milk to toughen up , the statement that you make is quoted with in the link ,response to Europe joint exercise , if you are familiar with current affairs ,Russia continuously tests the uk air defences . comment made in jest to another poster . if you are offended or annoyed by this and much far trivial and offensive posts are often posted ,you should stay at home after isolation restrictions are lifted Thanks, luckily milks still on the shelves so will be sure to have a pint. No doubt you can post me a link where thatโs supposed to assist with Coronavirus from the Daily Mail or Fox News. Iโm in no way offended itโs just some of these posts are tosh. As you rightly say Russia, along with most other large nations, regularly run military drills (itโs a total non story). One of the worlds largest assembly of fighter planes not on sovereign soil belong to US which they regularly cruise around the globe. This doesnโt mean itโs a prelude for another crazy theory that someone has unleashed a super virus to deplete foreign troops! We all have enough on our plates dealing with the pleasures of life indoors and hoping friends and family stay safe. www.liveleak.com/view?t=uPYVT_1585403566 ๐ค๐

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by mojo on Mar 29, 2020 13:49:47 GMT 1, WTF is the actual point of sending a letter from our Prime Minister in hiding to every household in the UK costing 5.8 million pounds and adding huge unnecessary pressure on the UK postal system? The virus can stay on paper for up to 3 days. This is a massive vanity project that needs to be stopped now. I don't do twitter but for crying out loud please can somebody start a hashtag STOPTHEVANITYPROJECTLETTERFROMTHEPM. or words to that effect. Do they really think people don't have access to TV/Radio/internet/family&friends and are already acutely aware of the contents of the letter. This is utter madness and needs to be stopped. It's not a vanity project. It's simply the government trying to get its citizens to do as they're told. People are idiots. Yes and some of the biggest idiots are currently running the country. There is no sense in doing this it is a VANITY project no more no less.

As I heard ( my sister in retirement working back in Mondor hospital to help ) in France, yes it will be Surely two months more. And nothing will be ever the same : donโt believe, as if it was a bad nightmare, one day you will wake up, opening your windows, looking at the sky and saying in yourself : โ ๐
The wrong cloud has gone, time to go back to job โ.. As in a Disney movie. Even in art, it wonโt be the same I guess.. ( I donโt pretend to detain the truth, Iโm a bit sick and tired too ) My state ( East side ) is hardly touched : no more beds in hospitals, Tests are are done only If you are going in the hospital, in the coma .. they donโt care about fever before. No more place ) Our government are real twats and stupid ones ! They never ordered tests as In Germany or in Corea ..

No, I don't. But it's still not a vanity project. It has nothing to do with vanity. Definition of a vanity project....
Vanity Projects (or Vanity Productions) are those creative works that are ostensibly showcases for someone's talents as an actor, director, writer, singer, and/or composer but fail miserably to achieve their goal. The usual image associated with a Vanity Project is of a severely untalented performer with an out-of-control ego...
vanity. โบ used to describe something that is done with the aim of getting praise, fame, or approval rather than for serious or good reasons: The new bridge was quickly condemned as a "pointless vanity project", intended to enhance the reputation of the mayor.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by searchandrescue on Mar 29, 2020 14:46:59 GMT 1, I didn't post a conspiracy theory. Just some info from sources you are free to check if you want. Bats that carry the corona virus took years of searching for and they were found hundreds of miles away from the source of the outbreak. They could not find any in Wuhan region. Plus they found different genes in bats which when taken as a whole, were 97% the same as the corona virus. There is however a biological lab only three hundred yards from the market in Wuhan. I agree about conspiracy theories. There are some in the con theo game who are promoting that this epidemic is caused by chemtrails and drinking cognac protects people. Others say cocaine prevents the virus, Lots of con merchants out there. To be fair if you have the virus a lot of cocaine will make you feel better.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Matt on Mar 29, 2020 15:09:30 GMT 1,
Switzerland is ahead of the U.K in terms of start date (proximity to Italy) but far behind in terms of deaths..
I understand the Swiss are also testing largely (1000 tests per million inhabitants, twice what Korea did) so maybe less chance of underestimating number of cases.
Doesnโt the absolute number of deaths at this stage in the U.K. appear high ? Especialy compared to neighbours considering UK was one of the latest contaminated countries
I would be interested to see how UK compares to neighbours in deaths/day since day 0 of the outbreak. The curve seems quite steep !

Not making any assumptions from the the food platter and drinks shown in the pictures๐
It is hard in a situation like this , already stated a lot of increased calls to the police with the public reporting their neighbours for presumed breaches , some can be genuine calls , a lot are wasting depleted emergency response services , taking calls and investigating
Can also cause social segregation and racism if reported set groups /cultures are higher than other groups reported .
High fines would act as a deterrent or 1 week community service working in the new nec hospital , would open their eyes up to what is actually happening and the cause they are potentially contributing to

I lived in Switzerland for a while and i have a very strong belief that theyโll come out of this in good form. They have a well trained, trusting population, excellent medical facilities, big stockpiles of supplies and a naturally quite socially distant society.
I think they were just caught unawares by the virus coming over from Italy during the ski season when there is loads of mixing of people between all of the alpine countries. They also have one of the higher rates of smoking in Europe which may be contributing to their high death rate.
(This is all my opinion and not facts).

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 29, 2020 16:22:50 GMT 1, Switzerland is ahead of the U.K in terms of start date (proximity to Italy) but far behind in terms of deaths.. I understand the Swiss are also testing largely (1000 tests per million inhabitants, twice what Korea did) so maybe less chance of underestimating number of cases. Doesnโt the absolute number of deaths at this stage in the U.K. appear high ? Especialy compared to neighbours considering UK was one of the latest contaminated countries I would be interested to see how UK compares to neighbours in deaths/day since day 0 of the outbreak. The curve seems quite steep ! I lived in Switzerland for a while and i have a very strong belief that theyโll come out of this in good form. They have a well trained, EDUCATED population, excellent medical facilities, big stockpiles of supplies and a naturally quite socially distant society. I think they were just caught unawares by the virus coming over from Italy during the ski season when there is loads of mixing of people between all of the alpine countries. They also have one of the higher rates of smoking in Europe which may be contributing to their high death rate. (This is all my opinion and not facts).

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Mar 29, 2020 16:25:02 GMT 1, Seems in Spain phones will be used to locate people. I donโt like control, but Iโm afraid there is such a huge amount of stupid people putting in danger all we love, that this time we must accept it... i dont disagree with elements of control being implemented by govts but spending ยฃ5M on letters is not the best way for any govt to spend ยฃ5M.
If that is the real cost , that would be better spent on fase masks for all front line emergency service personnel
First front line surgeon death from covid 19 reported today
