Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by irl1 on Apr 7, 2020 15:10:16 GMT 1, What a waste of time when the police could be dealing with vital emergencies , Shows the mindset of some and how selfish people are. Wonder if people in India have the same conversations with their police force ? Whats the line? โIt would be called Amazing Britain if it wasnโt for people like herโ But in all seriousness, she is extremely luck she lives in the UK and can act like a turd without the police getting physical with her. That policeman is a saint. What an utter bitch!

So in order to be stabbed in the chest by a stingray you need to pick it up and hold it like a bomb hugger... There was 100% sure only one responsible for Steve's death, and his name is not Ray....

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 8, 2020 10:53:59 GMT 1, Satsuma of Death seeks scapegoat by accusing World Health Organization of China bias as New York records its highest daily death toll and Wuhan lockdown eases. Donald Trump criticised the World Health Organization (WHO), and by implication Beijing, saying the global body is โChina centricโ and โbiasedโ towards the rival superpower. As Wuhan, the city at the centre of the outbreak, began to return to normal life, Trump said the WHO had โbeen wrong about a lot of thingsโ, and threatened to put a hold on WHO funding. When asked if that was a good idea during a pandemic, Trump denied saying it, and then said they would โlook at itโ. โWeโre going to investigate it, weโre going to look at it. But we will look at ending funding, yeah, because you know what, they called it wrong, and if you look back over the years even, everything seems to be very biased toward China. Thatโs not right.โ Trump has previously questioned Chinaโs reported numbers of infections, saying last week said they were โa little on the light sideโ, and referred to the outbreak as the โChinese virusโ, prompting complaints from Beijing. The fresh salvo came against a background of a worsening death toll in the US, with New York state reporting on Tuesday its highest single-day increase, with 731 fatalities. At least 3,544 people have died in New York city alone from Covid-19. New memos revealing Trump was warned at the end of January that tough action was needed to avert hundreds of thousands of American deaths have fuelled suggestions the president is seeking a scapegoat. The WHO declared Covid-19 a public health emergency on 30 January. Almost a month later Trump, who had compared the virus to influenza, said it was under control in the US, before declaring a national emergency on 13 March. The US now has nearly 400,000 cases, and 13,000 deaths, compared with close to 83,000 cases in China and 3,337 deaths. Globally, there are more than 1.4m cases and just over 82,000 deaths.
Many countries are making official statements of China releasing data late ,implicating a cover up and that they are purposefully reporting less deaths but all governments advice from countries around the world are using Chinese data still if they are making these statements ? Why are countries still not using their own data and priority to get testing figures up in their homeland ? Given news that China is recovering is this to be believed ? Has it not been reported waves of cases will come, this is happening in Spain, and Italy also , will seem like levelling out then new cases , coming in ,the way the news is reported gives mixed signals

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Javier on Apr 8, 2020 11:38:03 GMT 1, I'm sure they are recovering. Our lockdowns, our isolations, everything is Occident is a joke compared to what Chinese are doing. I have a friend who Works their and returned just a few days before they locked for foreigners, and that is really doing huge efforts to stop spreading. We are not prepared here to do so,or politicians don't want to take that measures

As all countries are using different strategies to contain , even if Countries relax internal lockdowns or isolations international travel and closed borders may stay ? Reported different strains around the world and if introduced to another foreign population may be at square one again ?

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tran16 on Apr 8, 2020 15:39:53 GMT 1, It's amazing how poor security is in some museums. I know of one where a very valuable painting was cut out of the frame and it turned out that the museum did not have any security cameras installed. The theft was also covered up for two weeks by the museum and local authority. People steal for all sorts of reasons including using valuable stolen art as collatoral between drug dealers and other criminals. Stolen to order for a collector happens sometimes, and other reasons including ransom demands as in money to return of the painting. Whoever stole it knew the layout and security of the museum. What exactly would a drug dealer or a criminal, I mean of course they are criminals.. but a criminal do with the Van Gogh? Canโt they go to the museum and watch it like the rest of us have to do with certain artists work? Also interesting to choose that painting? Why? Who would like to watch it so much so they are willing to go through all the effort to steal it, or have someone steal it? Nah, my bet is insurance money. As someone has said before I think big time Cosa Nostra or 'Ndrangheta get the paintings stolen to order and keep them for bargaining power if they get nicked. ''Reduce my sentence and I'll tell you where the VG is.'' Often the masterpieces are stored really badly. Andrew Graham-Dixon did a documentary on this for the BBC a couple of years back

Where are these reported different strains? Just two which for all intent and purposes are the same strain as differences are so small.

New Scientist is normally fairly reliable ๐
Letโs try some good news stories as opposed to dooms day scenarios moving forward.
Ps. I know you love a link so hereโs some potentially positive reading for you; pharmafield.co.uk/pharma_news/study_shows_anti-parasitic_drug_ivermectin_kills_coronavirus/

Now I have to read into the back ground of the research facilities mentioned ๐ I find reading factual evidence and research information more positive than depending on the media and pm question times , half the information released or discussed on pm question time I have read 3 weeks ago , gives you a better understanding of what precautions to take . At present how many people in total isolation ?how are they getting their house hold supplies and food stuff ? Unless your decontaminating all items that enter your house hold you have a high chance of the virus entering your domain, viruses can survive on cardboard for 24hrs , plastics up to 9 days ,high percentage of the population shown to be asymptomatic , spreading unknowingly .. there for the isolation process is just helping the medical services from being overcrowded and stopping a strain being put on mortuaries and burial space , at present 90% of the population will catch the virus and at present the only defence is if your immune system / body is strong enough to fight off or pull through if severe symptoms shown .๐ท๐๐
