3,333 total deaths in China since the outbreak last year and 10,869 in France 17,669 in Italy 14,792 in Spain 14,590 in USA.

So if frontline staff and doctors treating people took this advice as fact back then from the WHO and believed that human to human transmission was impossible and did not protect themselves and other patients in hospitals it could be one main reason why these early cases created an epidemic in Italy and other countries in Europe.
