Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Lazarus II on Apr 9, 2020 14:41:11 GMT 1, ... people are breathing water and corona virus droplets all over lamposts every day ... what don't you understand ... I’ve just spent 15 minutes watching a lamppost on the corner of a road. Out of a total of 17 people who passed by it during that time, 3 cyclists used it to balance, 2 children hugged it, 1 child patted it, 1 adult leaned on it, and 2 elderly people held it. my dug would have pissed on it if we’d passed it.

I'm jealous right now. I looked out my window and not a lamppost in sight😕 Go and paint it with some anti-climb paint, gotta be cruel to be kind.

The word ‘dense’ has more than one meaning, in this case I was using it to mean ‘closely compacted’ in the first example, and ‘stupid’ in the second.
Not even second 😂😂 Thanks for the explanation!!!

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 9, 2020 21:38:49 GMT 1, You would think hotels would refund for travellers this year .
No vaccine quoted by most world governments and up to 18 months away
If this is the case isolation may open up free travel internally in countries but international travel may still be closed and all borders remain shut until then.
Most people would not want to travel as of reduced savings and earnings plus the fear of being stranded in another country if a vaccine is not found and countries close borders again
Plus the fact you could die ?
Tried to get a few trips I prepaid refunded and offered alternative dates only ?!!

In the beginning the uk did not take note of other surrounding countries actions and how they dealt with the pandemic , hope notes are taken of how aspects of everyday life are effected and how they are effecting society and the uk can adjust or make amendments to policies to avoid certain scenarios happening here . If we are continued in isolation in June and July there will start to be minor civil disturbances

Highly likely we’ll get another 2/3 week lockdown extension Thurs/Fri of next week. I agree that there maybe a few problems occurring if this goes on through to July. I’m guessing end of May first week of June before we see much movement on restrictions....As your the man with the links have you seen anything anywhere about how many of the people more seriously affected/died by this are smokers?

All data at present only represent a fraction of the population and does not give a true picture until 70% of the population are tested .
More testing will solve a lot of problems , scientist still having difficulties understanding this virus.
Just a thought , what is the emergency contingency plan if no vaccine is found in The quoted 2 years ?
The role out of the Vaccine product Will need to reach the Entire global Population and would take years to manufacture the required numbers , to grow the virus cultures needed and to gain the raw materials to manufacture are in short supply .so even if the herd immunity works can see vast deaths occurring yearly until the global population gets the vaccine
The virus could be difficult to work on like The hiv Virus and may take years or not possible to make a vaccine
The government has discussed these scenarios and should be transparent with the general public

Being that any kind of vaccine is likely to be a long way off it’s clear that they need to find a way of getting a majority of the population working again and apart from testing they need to be gathering and more importantly sharing data of the people that have already had the virus. We need to know what underlying health issues exactly and to what level they have them. What percentage are overweight(I’m no Adonis), are they smokers and how unhealthy they really are. I’m not for one minute saying this doesn’t affect healthy people as it clearly does but we keep hearing underlying health issues but we need to know more data from around the world. This will at least let us know whos going to be the safest group of people to let carry on with their lives first. At this rate we could all be completely fûcked and not from catching Coronavirus. Anyway hope everyone’s enjoying the UK sunshine.., at home of course.

At this stage the government will not want To release that information as the health service is at full capacity and the demand for health screenings could not be met , valid point though to get the population back to some sort of functional normality .
The isolations are more geared towards helping the health service , so they can manage with influx of cases , already you have seen cancer patients treatments with drawn , if at full capacity wards would not be able to cope with other cases of medical emergencies . If no isolations put in place , the mortuaries could not cope with extra deaths and the graves needed will not be met , in normal times you would have up to 6 weeks to arrange a burial . There are documents that state the virus would spread regardless of the isolations and would only cease if everyone were in complete isolation and did not ever leave their home which is impossible !

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 10, 2020 17:54:16 GMT 1, From watching the pm question time , if isolation and social distancing relaxed the uk will just create a new wave of infections The way they describe the cases only a vaccine will end the present case scenario
With testing to isolate most at risk groups would be a danger of creating a social stigma
At the movement just managing deaths in an efficient way to prevent compromising the health care system

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by Terry Fuckwitt on Apr 11, 2020 12:14:13 GMT 1, Heartbreaking indeed. And yet, just 24 hours later at the government’s daily press conference, Matt Hancock flatly refuses to answer the simple question of how many NHS workers have so far died from the virus. Instead, he chooses to blame NHS staff for overusing Personal Protective Equipment. Overusing something they haven’t got! What. The. Actual. Fück?! The staff change their PPE more often making sandwiches in Subway than they do (or can) in the NHS for fücks sake, you absolute cünt. Update: Some 15 hours after stating it would be ‘inappropriate’ to reveal the number of NHS workers who’ve so far lost their lives in attempting to save ours, Hancock has revealed there to have been 19 deaths. He went on to say he was ‘unaware of any link between the deaths and a lack of PPE’. How else did they get it, Matt you cretinous bullshìtter, licking fücking lampposts?
Subsequently, how many members of their families have become seriously ill or died? We really fucked up with the ppe, costs very little and could have had stockpiles ready for an outbreak like this.

Corona Virus effect on the art market?, by tab1 on Apr 11, 2020 12:40:33 GMT 1, Update: Some 15 hours after stating it would be ‘inappropriate’ to reveal the number of NHS workers who’ve so far lost their lives in attempting to save ours, Hancock has revealed there to have been 19 deaths. He went on to say he was ‘unaware of any link between the deaths and a lack of PPE’. How else did they get it, Matt you cretinous bullshìtter, licking fücking lampposts? The government strategic pandemic preparedness policy 2011 revised 2014 and NHS has in place as a policy that warehouses of emergency stock around the country are held of PPE as a surplus to the requirements of the health of service needs for emergency times , further more as an alternative measure contracts are set in place with ppe suppliers if needs arise to fulfil these increased ppe requirements in short times The NHS pandemic government guidance policy plan also states this .
Obviously the policy was not set in place , this was already thought out for a scenario like now and policy made to prevent what is happening now .what is happening is preventable if the government had set in place guidance and legislation from its own policies set years ago Probably cost setting shortcuts made as who ever was in charge of the budgets would never had imagined a scenario as now as there has never been one similiar in our lifetimes .
Also from a few weeks back there were medical staff doctors and paramedics on tv news complaining about insufficient ppe as the dates on the packaging was out of date and stickers put over DATE end of life use 2016
These were most likely from the emergency stockpile from the warehouses mentioned in the policy that were never stock checked and audited yearly .
In a public enquiry all this will be bought up especially as being linked to deaths of frontline staff, I mentioned all above two weeks ago .

There are other government documents that also state emergency stocks of ppe are to be held
Also from a few weeks back there were medical staff doctors and paramedics on tv news complaining about insufficient ppe as the dates on the packaging was out of date and stickers put over DATE end of life use 2016 These were most likely from the emergency stockpile from the warehouses mentioned in the policy that were never stock checked and audited yearly .
