Rothko at Fondation Louis Vuitton is both massive and breath taking & well worth the trip alone. The catalogue is obviously superb!   Dana Schutz at the Musee d’art moderne is well worth visiting and I managed to also get a ticket for the Nicholas de Stael exhibition which was fantastic. That said if you think London is expensive, go to Paris….

there are loads, but 2 i would recommend :
"28 Millimètres" : Collates his work from Montfermeil (incl his stuff with Ladj Ly) ), in the Favelas (Women Are Heroes), and various other locations.
Gives a really good insight into his process and intent, and contains some beautiful pictures of his earlier work.
"Carnets de Rue" is his first book I think, documenting his early work in the streets with a camera and some paint. Good insight into his early days. Not sure it has been translated in English though

I actually thought it was going to be a written book (and just a few pictures) describing the history of the Dragon Bar, but instead it is about 80% pictures, a shortish intro about the Dragon Bar and then stacks of quotes/mini stories from the who’s who of the street art scene at the time.
Also, plenty more pictures of toilets for those of you who are into that kind of thing. 😉
It’s a bit bigger than I expected so I’ve shown a photo of it next to Cut & Run.
Even though it is different than I originally thought, I’m glad I purchased and probably worth £40. Definitely an essential one for the art bookshelf.

I may still buy the book because its part of my experience of living in London at that time. But I'd prefer a book about the Foundry, that place was much better, and had equally tagged toilets (if that's your thing).

just saw this post from 2009 yes i found this recently on WOB hardback for under a tenner - highly recommend it - worth getting for the banksy sketches alone - also great pages on Blu !

www.streetsketchbook.com/ is good you can buy it on amazon for £20...really cool.. with all the drawings before they become street pieces and interviews with the artists. banksy et al was given as a gift from a fellow forum member (noodles) who im not sure is with us anymore but is still over on the dface forum. thanks again for that, use it everyday for inspiration
