NEW ORIGINALS ON POST-ITS!
Paul Davis' solo exhibition 'Counter Culture' was due to open at Jealous East the end of March and we all know why that didn't happen...instead it has been postponed to when the UK lockdown has been lifted. However, to whet your appetite we have a very exciting release for you all.
For those that are new to Paul's work, he is an acclaimed artist and illustrator, who uses his unique perspective to capture observations of daily life, often turning a critical eye to areas of modern life that many of us take for granted.
He has created these new original artworks, Post-It Note drawings mounted onto A4 archival paper exclusively for us at Jealous. Each one is unique and usually priced at £250, but reduced to £100 especially for the Jealous Faithful.
He says: "Maybe they tell unfinished short stories or perhaps they’re random thoughts struggling to find meaning in the visual and mental cacophony we live in. According to the experts, we have, on average, between 15,000 and 50,000 thoughts every day. These are some of them.
Knowing this, it’s possible that this is an exercise in attaining some sort of tranquility: the act of drawing can also act as therapy; the joy of responding immediately to a thought."
