I have his original MEAD notebooks as well as one of the Subway Blueprint Drawing originals I will be post pictures of and explanations about. I also have more footage from the interview with Zephyr that the above video was linked from. Please let me know if there are any questions. Again, thank you very much to everyone who has purchased one or both so far!

Update 12/27: Dondi White silk-screens presale date extended until January 1st.
FYI, I have decided to expand the presale date until Noon, PST on January 1st since the hand silk-screened sleeves are taking slightly longer than expected to print.
The editions are done, chopped, and numbered and just waiting for the sleeves to be finished. The cardboard sleeves are looking great and truly worth that extra effort and time. The โD5โ and โRain Proof Danceโ will each come with their own 2 color hand silk-screened sleeve that will feature a tag and a picture by Rickey Powell. In my opinion, they will look nice enough that you could even frame the sleeve as well.
In that extra time though I look forward to posting many new videos and pictures. I have been lucky enough to spend countless hours discussing Dondi and the early graffiti scene with Mike White [his brother]. I hope to allow anyone who may not know how influential Dondi White was in terms of graffiti and letter style to hopefully check it out further if interested. Even those who do know his work, I hope to share pics and videos that will shed new light on the person who Dondi was [in addition to his art], since he passed away and most will not have ever gotten to meet him. I will be posting numerous new videos, pictures, and stories shortlyโฆ
If you want the โD5โ I would recommend picking it up as it is getting close to sold out. โRain Proof Danceโ has also been selling extremely well, so thanks for all the support so far. The prints should be in hand by the end of the first week of January, so I will get them shipped out shortly after that. Again, thank you to everyone who has purchased one or a set so far. The draftsmanship in his originals is truly amazing. Whether it was with a can or pencil, the end result was always spectacular in my opinion! For the โSubway Blueprint Collageโ originals, he gave away many of them as gifts in his last years. The one I have I was lucky enough to acquire from his brother. There are not any of those available though.
In terms of originals in general, there is a very limited supply of Dondiโs work. He did not produce a huge body of work in comparison to a lot of artists out there. If you can find something for sale, it is usually a black book page, sketch, or maybe that rare canvas that occasionally comes up. Since most will not be able to get an original, I am trying to work with the family to get selected work out in the highest quality way [with as much respect paid to Dondi as possible]. I especially definitely appreciate Mike White letting me release the video footage showing Dondi explaining things further.

Those MEAD notebooks are one of the showpieces of my collection. Those 2 notebooks were done from 1987-1995 and contained some of his last work before he passed away. There is some really great stuff contained within them and everything is dated, so you can see the chronological progression.

Also, here is the original โSubway Blueprint Collageโ I have in my collection, with a few close up shots. These are also a preview of future editions, of which there are 8 total in the series.
In regards to my โSubway Blueprint Collageโ, you can definitely see the influence of Leonardo da Vinci on his later works, especially in all the pieces relating to the human form. Currency was also a theme used throughout his later work as well, which this piece and the โD5โ is a great example of.

The โD5โ are down to the last 2 prints for sale, so expect a โSold Outโ to be posted as soon as those are gone. The โRain Proof Danceโ prints have just 15 left, so those are getting down to the final ones too. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a print so far. I look forward to getting them in everyoneโs hands soon.
The completed print project should hopefully be sent to me this week from New York. Sorry for the additional delay, but there was another last minute addition of text screen-printed on an archival insert in the sleeve. I should be able to post an exact ship date shortly. A certificate of authenticity from the printer, Michael White, and myself will be included too.
Also, feel free to email me at info@baurmanngallery.com if there are any questions or any special requests. All orders will be processed this weekend [w/ shipping labels created and shipping labels prepared], and the prints sent as soon as they are received from the printer in New York.
