Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by Daylight Robber on Mar 16, 2021 22:41:35 GMT 1, Another utterly stupid question. And yes, it's your choice. Your choice to knowingly put others at risk when you absolutely don't have to. That's the thing, if i choose not to have the vaccine will I be able to get on with my life as before or will it prohibit me from doing certain things like travel, events and such. Do we want to live in that world?
It shouldn't lead to prohibiting you from doing certain things in the long run, but I'd understand if it did in the short term. There are people who genuinely can't be vaccinated. I'd hate to see their freedoms curtailed even more. People who choose not to protect the vulnerable amongst us I have less concern for.

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by tab1 on Mar 16, 2021 22:45:02 GMT 1, Inform me when the big boys and your gang have had their jabs and I will send some lollipops and some clown stickers for being brave I understand your point but the vaccine has not been proven to completely eradicate carrying or passing on the virus from tests so far just tests confirmed so far is that individuals vaccinated do not suffer as severely from the virus Vaccines are never 100% effective. The idea is to fight the virus into submission. If everyone took your approach we'd still be living with Polio and the like. In fact, it's because of a not too dissimilar attitude that we're seeing a resurgence of measles and thousands of entirely preventable deaths arising from it.
Cease getting so uptight about my views, I am a stranger on a forum that is entitled to view and air my thoughts on a thread with the main theme of the thread is to debate and not to argue about coronavirus . My views are not going to change anyone’s opinions . I am not stating my views are right, I merely started a discussion with occasional government links . There is more hostility here than on the Sam durants thread which is highly pathetic It is the same group of boys here that had a hissy fit and defended some skateboards and stickers when discussion did not meet their agenda , displays the mindsets here. Will this social stigmatized views spill over into the real word

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by Daylight Robber on Mar 16, 2021 22:45:59 GMT 1, When the vast majority of vulnerable people have had there second jab there is no reason for healthy people to have it, unless they choose too. Whats wrong with that?
There will still be thousands of people with autoimmune deficiency that can't be vaccinated and there is still a hell of a lot of research to be done when it comes to how it effects development during pregnancy.

Cant really compare Polio, mainly infected children under the age of five, covid is very different in that it appears from the data we know the groups who can get seriously ill or die so have them vaccinated and then talk too the public like grownups and give good information and advice.

Diphtheria, Hep B, tetanus, meningitis, flu, MMR... not keen on any of these?

Do we want to live in that world? It shouldn't lead to prohibiting you from doing certain things in the long run, but I'd understand if it did in the short term. There are people who genuinely can't be vaccinated. I'd hate to see their freedoms curtailed even more. People who choose not to protect the vulnerable amongst us I have less concern for. It's already has prohibited us all for the last year of are lives and should come to end very soon in my opinion. If you cant be vaccinated then that will have to be there decision with the best advice for that individual.

It'll come to an end a whole lot sooner if vaccine take up is as high as possible. Less chance for the disease to mutate and start all over again.

Again these things often would effect young children so it makes total sense that you have protection from this when you are young. Like I say flu and covid effect people more seriously in groups we know off advise them to have it and let the rest of us choose with the best advice possible. There are many things I'm not keen on getting ill with but I try not to let it keep me awake at night.

You are also a stranger on a forum and just because you state a phrase that does not mean you are right? What are you referring to? What are you referencing ? What links or evidence have you provided, you just keep stating your thoughts without reference. What are you even talking about exactly ?what salient points are you trying to address? Why should I trust what you say is correct without evidence ? I ask questions and provide links from the medical field to display my reasonings behind the question? Our government lied about the Ppe for nhs staff that risked their lives with a later rewarded 1%pay rise, lied about a track and trace system, of course some individuals may raise questions ? Keep shouting, display arrogance, belittle people and certain people will be scared into submission. Are you that type of person that the recent protests were about?

Less chance for the disease to mutate and start all over again. Well if it is as the scientist believe a cousin of the common cold which we have never eradicated you would more than likely need to keep vaccinating people every year, that would be a huge change in how we prevent disease. I've looked in to what moderna are trying to do with a big change in how we could possible treat people with certain disease in the future with vaccine's. I'm not against what they are trying to do but the choice of the individual as to what is put in to there body should come first. Giving the flu jab for example as we know keeps some older people from getting very ill and having to go to hospital, Makes sense but still a choice.

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by Terry Fuckwitt on Mar 16, 2021 23:26:16 GMT 1, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your family member. I don't know if it was covid related, but if it was, surely that would be enough to make you understand a vaccine is better than nothing. You have shared links that would be classed as conspiracy. I clearly remember a liveleak link posted towards the beginning of the pandemic. I remember it as it was quite scary. There were people in China dropping to the floor, from what was supposedly effects of covid. This was obviously all bullshit, as I've not heard a single case of this happening. I shared links, I did not quote or state any such statements. That is your own interpretation and analysis. I am employed in an industry that is heavily involved in the pandemic so would take an interest more keenly in the pandemic than the average boys here and with knowledge and information lacking at the time from the government and the lack of action from our government compared to other country’s the internet was browsed . There were confirmations of the hearts being effected and sudden ruptures of the heart caused by Covid later confirmed . www.google.com/amp/s/www.livescience.com/amp/coronavirus-death-ruputured-heart.htmlpmj.bmj.com/content/early/2020/09/16/postgradmedj-2020-138284
Yes, but by sharing those links is promoting them and giving them higher click through rates. www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-52474347
Can I ask, do you believe that video you posted to be true?

I can not find the exact video that I wanted to use to express my point, just to express that further confirmations had been made. Just wasting my time now and do not want to get into pointless arguments. Phase 4 trials are still ongoing and more detailed research will be met by the summer to give all a clearer picture

Transparency and accountability is the issue. Decades and decades of medical knowledge? this is a new virus with no previous comparable viruses available to research against, one year in scientists are still stating they are learning the virus and do not have all The answers . Yes vaccines do work but then again you sound like trump comparing the virus to flu, this is a new development and incomparable to other vaccines, phase 4 trials are still ongoing.

The evidence that vaccines work is all around you, with roots firmly in a time when we didn't have them. 😴 Of course it has bugger all to do with it, the governments are in control and releasing data, they are releasing information with the vaccines too.they also changed the way Covid deaths have been recorded 3 times which initially presented lower deaths.

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by put the kettle on on Mar 17, 2021 0:24:42 GMT 1, Most people on this subject dont get beyond the headlines, lets be honest! I'm sure you've "done your research". Well I would not call it research as that would require a vast amount of time. If by research you mean have I taken the time to go on the gov,uk website and look at all the available date in spreadsheet form then yes. Have I taken the time to understand who it effect and how then yes, and what was going on with these Knightdale hospitals and why they where never used at great expense and learn from the kings fund as an example who audit hospital's in respect of bed numbers and staff and the huge decline over the decades it will make you think when they keep going on about capacity in hospital not being available, They know very well why in my book.

Whilst the virus is obviously new there are comparable viruses and Covid 19 as we know it is a SARS subgenus.
Yes, there are unknowns, but from a virology point of view it was sequenced extremely quickly because the scientists have effectively been waiting for this one, or something very similar, since the last significant one in the 90s. It's why a vaccine was developed so quickly and why trials were started way back in April. The theory was all in place and as I posted on here back in April, the communication coming directly from Oxford Uni suggested vaccinations by the end of 2020. The experts in the field were pretty confident in their years and years of r&d.
There are more unknowns about how it transmits and the effects it has on people. Whilst it would be beneficial to know all this, the priority is on protection and prevention.

Most people with this problem survive, unless you are elderly with other underlying health conditions.

It explains a little how Oxford were confident they were ahead of the curve.

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by LJCal on Mar 17, 2021 0:51:30 GMT 1, Shame there’s not a vaccine for mass hysteria and neurosis. The world is well and truly fucked because people seem to believe that politicians and scientists can save their miserable lives with nonsensical laws and pseudoscience. Anyone who thinks these vaccines will mark the end of this delusion is dreaming, we’ve traded real freedoms, opportunities, life and rights (many of which we won’t get back) for fake safety. Collectively coronavirus should be very low down our list of priorities, it’s just one of many ways we will leave this mortal coil, plenty of equally deadly pandemics have passed far more recently than people realise and none of them required such costly and radical interventions. If people stop living in fear and clinging to mortality they may actually be able to live before they die, no vaccine needed.

Rather a simplistic pov and fundamentally wrong. I was referring more to the fact that the virus incorporates a polybasic cleavage site. Virologists know that these increase pathogenicity and transmissibility in other viruses, but up until Covid 19 hadn't seen one in a SARS virus.

I am aware of this, link provided for others if of any interest.
www.research.ox.ac.uk/Article/2020-07-19-the-oxford-covid-19-vaccine
my concern were these initial vaccines had been emergency authorized and the phase 4 trials that usually are met had little research evidence provided at the time of issue and there were many scientific papers around December and January reporting issues yet no news came from the government then fast forward to this week and many countries reporting suspension of use without any conclusive evidence, so you would Assume as few individuals may become skeptical

There is a day of reckoning coming are way.
