Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by d.r. perseus on Apr 25, 2021 22:08:16 GMT 1, I understand full well your point though. My mother is profoundly deaf, and has been since being a teenager. She lip reads, and has found it incredibly hard to communicate during the pandemic, especially during medical appointments.
And I do get the humor the poster was trying to convey. Having only coming across the first lip reading patient over the course of the pandemic this past week obviously the usefulness of the mask was at the forefront of my mind.
Wasn’t trying to be a fun spoiler.

Haha, bottled water with lids always did the trick😉 Phones should just be banned from clubs and gigs.

Coronavirus effect on humanity?, by Charlie Bronson on May 1, 2021 14:46:14 GMT 1, I have a few friends who, in a discussion, said that what’s happening in India is indicative of things to come worldwide, with strain mutation. I disagreed. I hope I’m right. Things are slightly back to normal, apart from masking. Would be horrible to backtrack right now.

You can take our rights and freedoms but don't fcuk with our football!

There may be a new one on the horizon; spreads as fast as Covid, but is as deadly as Ebola. Hopefully this is stopped before it starts.

India is now the epicenter of the COVID-19 epidemic. Every day for an entire week the country reported an average of 340,000 new COVID-19 cases. This comes to one in every three infections reported globally per day.
"The major factor in the spread of the virus is the behavior of the people," said Rakesh Mishra, director of the Indian Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology. "Spread of the virus is largely because of us not taking care of each other. Variants are just taking advantage of our carelessness."
Nonetheless, feeding the surge in India is what is being dubbed a "double mutant" variant, B.1.617, which had two key mutations observed in other coronavirus variants. It has also been identified in other countries, including the U.S.
The variant was actually first sequenced in a global database of COVID-19 variants in October 2020 but went largely unnoticed. The B.1.617 strain carries features from two lineages, the California variants (B.1.427 and B.1.429) and the ones in South Africa (B.1.351) and Brazil (P.1). The Indian variant's two prominent mutations include a position 452 of the spike protein and the second at 484. "Double mutation" isn't a remarkably accurate description, Mishra said.

This article is purely sensationalist guff at its best however. Just riding the back of fear to get heard. In short there is no disease X. Fighting viruses and disease is an ongoing piece one which we have been especially good at combatting with progress in medical science.

As I recall you were not so keen about the vaccines. Have you had a change of heart and gotten yours? Or are you still just interested in other people getting theirs? On another note I got my vaccine and I feel just fine: no tail, no discolouration (although I wouldn't mind a different eye colour or some supervision powers so that I could drop the glasses).

I am interested in the vaccines being fully tested with no high percentage of side effects without the need for countries still to pull certain vaccines from being authorized and administering to their populations as of potential dangers of side effects and once past the need for yellow card reporting would be deemed safe, everyone’s entitled to their own logical opinions based on information presented at present
