I asked if I sell a piece that says KAWS, if that won’t confuse a potential consumer that trusts on a gallery, they didn’t reply obviously.

Besides selling FAKES, they also DO NOT PAY for works they bought, even with all legal sales documents done. I am still waiting for my money, they obviously don t reply to phone. I am going to try the legal way to get my painting paid.
I haven't seen that claim and bad experience on Urban Art Association before giving them my work. I hope that comment will help other collector to not trust in them.

I suggest we get a permanent tread in the header of the "Urban Art for sale" section that simply lists all the known scammers (personal/galleries/auction houses etc).
Behind each name there should be a link to the relevant tread. This way we could all quickly crosscheck with this list if there are any known issues with a seller.

It is an auction site with a misleadingly reputable-sounding name, called Berkeley Auction House: urbanartassociation.com/thread/170783/berkeley-auction-banksy-haring-indiana__________ Berkeley Auction House * has: (i) some questionable (if not unenforceable or illegal) Terms & Conditions; (ii) no listed telephone number (communications only by email or online messaging); (iii) no listed company registration number; and (iv) a "London" address (207 Regent Street, London W1B 3HH) that corresponds to a virtual office with mail holding. Proceed with extreme caution.
Well spotted met I've just looked through the inventory on Galerie Coste and lots of items are identical to yesterdays auction at Berkeley Auction. The Haring vase and the Kaws print are just two examples.
I did also notice that they are listed on Artnet and there is a UK mobile number associated with the auction.

They purchased a number of works from us outside of eBay (red flag I know) for a discount and insisted on paying via bank transfer, they kept promising that it had been sent and it must be delayed... but no $, we firmly told them several times no money no art, they finally relented and paid and we sent the items. They were definitely hoping we'd send them on credit. So shady, dodgy.

Rather frustratingly, it seems three or four posts I wrote on this thread (along with those of at least two other members) have been deleted.
These posts touched upon sales of counterfeit artwork by the French national Mickael Flauhaut (a.k.a. Mickaël Flahaut or Michael Flahaut) through his various business entities:
(i) Galerie Costé**, which is or was based in Honfleur, France (and previously in Deauville, France);
(ii) Unik Galerie*, which is or was based in Pont-l'Évêque, France;
(iii) Miamian Auctions House**, a Florida corporation with a French telephone number; and
(iv) most recently, Berkeley Auction House / Berkeley General Gallery Ltd***, registered in England and Wales.

Going forward, I would kindly request that Admin hold back on deleting my warning posts. The objective here is to shine a light on the criminal activity of scammers, to reduce the likelihood of forum members being defrauded.
Please rest assured that each of these posts is carefully researched and verified before I even think about clicking the 'Create Post' button. The text is accurate and non-misleading. In other words, it is never libellous. I am cautious by nature, well-advised, and well-versed on English defamation law.
The level of fraud carried out by Mickael Flahaut over the course of many years — in terms of the number of fakes he's sold or tried to sell to unsuspecting art collectors, as well as the aggregate sums involved — makes the shenanigans of somebody like Jason Zenga look like child's play in comparison.

At some point in the future, my plan is to post multiple case studies featuring specific gallery or auction sales by Flahaut.
Not just of obvious counterfeits but, more importantly, of pieces I'll irrefutably demonstrate Flahaut will have known to be counterfeit.
