You'll scroll and scroll, looking for actual pictures of their actual artwork, and you'll find some, but not until you've sat through a million well-shot images of them in a New York loft apartment. That is a difficult question to answer.
The four footers are going for silly money right now, but these are vinyl figures and vinyl tends to go bad eventually. There were pictures of a four foot companion with an imploded leg on kid robot forum years ago. The wood Pinocchio and the likes are sought after as are the rare cast figures (dissected, accomplice etc).
Then you have the affordable vinyl figures that sell for 3-4,000.
1000% Kaws bearbricks sold for that price yesterday at auction, which is pretty crazy as the dissected versions aren’t great looking.
Add all the fakes into the equation and Maybe an open edition figure bought off kawsone might be the best option.

Look at prices now against 12 months ago. Prints, originals, the book print epic flip fail. I could go on.. but prices have dropped significantly.
There is no supply demand issue with Kaws which is also a problem. The quality of concept has dropped as well (see the last few print releases)
For clarity - I own multiple kaws prints and would love prices to triple but I’m also a realist and watch markets closely.

Are you a bit basic? If a print was selling for £25000 and it now can’t sell for £20000 the market has dropped.. this isn’t personal it’s facts.

is it cheaper to buy one on the secondary market? I heard there’s a ton of fakes so it’s always put me off.
