Depends on the driver/drivers of the train whether he or she calls it in but it isn't offensive so the control room will most likely let it run in service until the close of traffic.
I drive the Northern line and have driven painted trains for an entire shift if there are no replacement trains (a train taken out of service and essentially cancelled costs a lot of people potential bonuses)
