Nobody called you racist. Someone made a comment about how the gallery sold the prints, and you apparently felt so threatened by the mention of race that you completely derailed the conversation responding to straw man arguments.

U remove the gallery's power by not caring about buying the art. When they no longer have leverage, they don't have the power.
People bought for the flip or to leave for their children. And realistically how much upside is there?
The edition won't go from €16,500 to €410,000 like Calleja.
The edition won't go from ¥500,000 to ¥4,140,000 like Tide.
People think these editions are easy money. Small brains = small potatoes.

And if ya aint got the money to start, boo hoo. Life's not fair, get over it.
if that random giclée was actually produced long time ago and they were sitting on the stash, it seems to me they went full on damage control after seeing this comment and others. They probably realized that indeed 90+% of the prints were pre-sold to their usual white male collectors. Interesting development... cool to see them do something but I think it brings back the eternal debate of backdooring prints. Placing OGs in good collections is something but if the regular guy can't even get a print without sucking up to the gallery, what is there left for the casual art fans to collect? Books?

This could be a good reminder piece for 2020 where BLM took hold and shook the world. And hopeful changed it.
Buying art - is racially biased activity.
Because Buying art is an expensive hobby.
Income, education, rights inequalities are real.
It’s not about the many white (or Asian) buyers that swamped the sites galleries and auctions.
It’s about having too few black buyers doing the same.
Got to get that fixed. We are all responsible.
