This thread has been turned to shit on so many occasions because of discussing values, really it’s the nostalgic background story & history linked to Banksy so early in his career that to big Art collectors is so appealing with this ‘Test Press’ Series.. We all know true secondary market value will not be understood until / if a set hits a public auction sale room so let’s wait & see what the future holds..
These are a limited edition of 100 from original Banksy acetates formed of 20x sets in 2000 (unnumbered) 80x sets in 2020 (hand numbered 21-100) & such an interesting piece from Banksy’s earlier years probably before many people even knew what was on the horizon for the artist..
I am really pleased with what Clown have achieved with this project & I know many other Banksy collectors are also.. I certainly won’t be skating mine that’s for sure.. Enjoy! 🛹💥

Anyway their desks were fantastic !

It seems that Clown Skates have confirmed on their website that these new edition of 80 sets are a continued edition of the original edition of 100 sets from the year 2000.
20 sets were made in 2000, now 20 years later they are releasing the other 80 sets from the original 100.
These new sets are being sold now on the open market as an official Clown Banksy release, with silly prices being asked.

I guess we know why there’s a 2 year backlog for COAs now when they’re dealing with requests like this.
I don’t think there was ever a chance they were ever going to say “yeah these are authorised” for a start it would have added several 0’s to the price. But there doesn’t seem to be any doubt that the original Banksy acetates were used which probably hooked most of the buyers.
I do agree that this probably disapproves a lot of the shit that treblenobass was spouting and judging from the rest of thread I wouldn’t be surprised if that was your aim.
