Clown been using this logo on tshirts, boards, bags etc for ages.
Whats the difference in doing a print of it. They can sell posters all they like.

I asked had they permission to release the remainder of the test decks even though they had not released all 100 decks in 2000 |

People care about those without the money who might put themselves in debt to purchase.
Do you know if itโs all the profit or all the proceeds to charity?

Nothing about money or having or not having it but protecting people from wasting 8k

we have a pic of something banksy did 20 odd years back that he has distanced himself from.
Another business has 'sort of' permission to use. Marchant at Stowe has decided he would like a wicked holiday somewhere hot away from it all and he would like 12 people to pay for it for him.
For this to happen, He spins it as A/ Banksy B/small run, limited availability C/ Expensive (only the lucky few can own it
Costs for this would be approx ยฃ300 for the 3 decks, and say ยฃ200 for the print. so ยฃ500 all in, sell at ยฃ8k gives around ยฃ90k profit for the special edition
Potential resale would be around ยฃ2k, so all the lucky buyers get to contribute quite a chunk of their after tax Money to Steve
I guess Clown will get a cut of this too, so seems only fair we help him out and buy it

Or indeed if the primary motivation for releasing them is to maximise the money being raised for the chosen (no doubt worthy) cause then why not reduce the pricing and substantially increase the edition size. I do think that the price of this release is what has raised a lot of eyebrows (including my own) and, though there will likely always be two schools of thought on the use of the image, I think theyโd sell these by the truckload if the edition size (and price) was better judged.

The second bitcoin rise, a few people remortgaged their homes to purchase bitcoins and subsequently lost their homes.
A lot of people are drawn to these markets to specifically make money and get caught up in the hype, look at the Banksy t shirts for example. You also have a few people that invest early in these scams and hype targeted to the unknowledgeable, I.e blok

The second bitcoin rise, a few people remortgaged their homes to purchase bitcoins and subsequently lost their homes. Yes. There are even schemes such as Own Art that provide 0% financing up to ยฃ25k in some cases for people in the UK.

1. Do you think you should maybe state the prints aren't an official release or even authorised by the artist or are you happy or even relying on buyers to be misled and think its an official release in order to sell them?
2. Do you think it's fair to presume the artists consent to make prints of his work without permission?

I actually reached out at the time and offered a considerable sum if a print would be released and mentioned that an edition would be highly popular here, firmly told no prints would ever be produced. Everyone gets caught up in the moment, the way they were marketed here, it seemed a genuine Banksy colab. Just a money grab and many will be left out of pocket. Multiple people here received emails from pest control stating these were not permitted to be released or authorized by the artist.if the gallery wants any longevity in the market, this release will kill all hopes of achieving this, with the way this is released
