It was always a fun time, adding my own gum to it. Parents did the same thing at the same place when they were kids. The place is gone now though, which sucks.
That said, I do really like the print. I think the high gloss works well with the image. If I could choose one, I do prefer the zoomed out one.

But yes it's an open edition for charity, so shouldn't be any negativity whatsoever.

It's the same concept as the KAWS MOCAD prints. Not a full new artwork, but an existing one repurposed for charity. I found those KAWS bits completely uninteresting, but they were for charity and plenty of people like them and I respect KAWS doing something for a good cause.

I think many would say doing another charity release is good for his reputation, even. This is an inexpensive charity release. Judge it in that context. Regardless, I like them. Ultimately people get to pick up a Hirst edition for a sensible price while giving money to a good cause.
Itโs certainly not his best print but for the reasons above Iโll be getting one.

Take any piece of art , zoom in to a paint splodge and I think youโll always be disappointed. It doesnโt make sense on any level

Might be my only chance of getting anything cherry blossom related. I reckon the proper editions (when and if HENI Editions ever release them) will be incredibly hard to get hold of at source.
