Sorry
Feels a bit Rod Stewart
Mad - dox
Bloated like rock in the the 70s waiting for punk
Bloated like kids now adding rap over the same old 1989 house tracks
I want an explosion
Disagree and keep buying your anarchy art for 100k

I think we're seeing that now in one of the most manipulated artist market of recent times, and who can blame them with FLAGS at this price 🏳️ Every other post is a Banksy FS or Banksy mass jizz-off.

Street art and fund managers , by kaos on Sept 21, 2020 9:19:24 GMT 1, I find this doom and gloom and feeling of it's all over, some what misplaced. It's also extremely unfair to blame the artist for the price of his art. I don't believe Banksy has given up on his base supporters and moved on to wealthy collectors. Have we already forgotten GDP, which made quite few average Joe's very rich. The artist, could very easily have sold the Banksquit prints for 10k GBP or more but he virtually gave them away. It's not all over, it's not the end. I feel sure Banksy will continue to support the average guy as he has always done. My two pennies.

Those lapping up B prints left right and centre today would be least affected ... Banksy's smart enough to have made the calculation and (as far as I can tell) seems sufficiently decent not to take a dump on the proletariat ...

and i think a lot of people are overlooking some great items because other ones are out of reach. items like palestine posters, welcome mats, etc. are all still relatively within reach and very solid official banksy items.

if any of these ppl really believed the prices were going to keep going up, they'd be buying the 2-3 flags on sale on the forum for 40k per. hell, they could take out a high interest loan and still come out on top if they really believed the insane things they are saying on here these days.
no one actually believes it though, so no one is doing it. lotta ppl talking out their bum.

Street art and fund managers , by coller on Sept 21, 2020 19:50:45 GMT 1, that's honorable, and it seems like that'd be the case. and to clarify, i am not pushing for people to sell their art for below its value should they choose to sell.
it just seems like a lot of people are being very disingenuous and manipulative in terms of what constitutes the value of a certain banksy print.
old formula: most recent hammer price minus maybe 10-15% = private sale price
new formula: most recent hammer price + premiums + fees + additional 25% for each month that has passed since auction result = private sale price

I’m looking forward to seeing what prices you set if and when you decide to sell any of your works. Very easy to talk the talk about these low figures when you’re not selling
