Denying the public something that was theirs. That's the saddest and lamest thing I've ever seen.

How depressing.  I've often wondered what Banksy thinks of this racket to 'save' his public artworks and take them completely out of context and away from the community they were intended for to be squirrelled away by a rich person that perhaps may exhibit at a later date in their leafy moneyed environment.  I completely understand the wall owners wanting to profit, why wouldn't they when Flash Harry turns up waving his wads around.  It just seems so crass. Why not buy the official works at auction and keep the public work for the community?  Perhaps its time for a protection order on all Street Banksy's?  Alternatively Banksy could blitz some 'Dirty Cash Rats' on to kids homes, homeless shelters, youth centres, food banks et al...and set the price, they cost a million each plus expenses and all the money goes to the people behind the walls that need it.  If he's gonna do it anyway?

I bought from Brandler twice when starting out. I found him unpleasantly pleasant (very forced) and have never since....
However, I think it is part of life, and I am sure Banksy knows. For every Brandler that doesn’t remove the art work because they have realised it needs to stay there, there will be another one queuing behind him to remove it. It’s a case of “you can’t win”.
