I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to most, B confirming it's one of his, or the prospect of you having to eat your pants. There were some good suggestions a few days back when someome said they'd eat their hat. How will you be having yours sir, should you be wrong? Roasted? Fried? Boiled could be a good choice and then crisped up in a frying pan with some soy sauce and tenderstem brocolli 🤣

The whole point with this and which made me 100% certain that it's Banksy was the pixelated girl. If that component was not there it would just be a lovely instantané, and Banksy doesn't do just lovely. I believe he has created the hologram of a little girl playing outside. Could it be a comment on the coronavirus effects and subsequent lockdowns? The changes in everyday life from technology and the fact that cars have taken over the streets where once children would gather and play? Could it be the fact that children mostly prefer to stay home and pass their time in front of screens? It could be all of the above, some of the above or none of the above. Exactly that makes his art great: it's never just lovely or simple!

I read it as in 'If life gives you lemons make lemonade' ...also going out on a limb here but there is a Grace Jones exhibition on in Nottingham featuring many artists Banksy has a connection to and it just so happens Grace Jones is one of the worlds finest hula hoopers.   p.s. I've been a hula hooper for years, having been influenced by Ms Grace Jones, its not as easy as she makes it look! (however highly recommended for middle age spread & lower back pain ). Nice one Banksy.

In all seriousness, yeah, the digital look is part of the piece, going back to basics, but the execution is more like his early 2000's work, it's almost as if this is HIM going back to basics and painting his street work and not one of the many assistants.
