Looked good before all that, but had to be first day. Hey Woodey1001 many many thanks for the unsolicited, insightful and lengthy critique of the work, really means a lot you spent your time on it. Really inspired me, so much so I checked out your other posts. You’re a ‘Art as a commodity’ evanjelist I see, however I’m more of a ‘Voice of the soul’ kind of guy, kooky eh! Fortunately after nearly 40 years of pushing around my ‘Karen’ D’Ache I’ve developed some pretty thick skin, so sorry if I sound a little cranky but no harm no foul. Sadly during these crazy times, like many other creatives, I’m brassic. But rather than moaning about having no work since March I thought I’d try and ‘monetise’ my ‘portfolio’ and see if I could get my ‘stock’ to rise. Thought you of all people would appreciate that, non? Anyway love and blessings to you and yours and thanks again for the encouragement. Love Gavin x

I read his comment more about what happened to the subject of your photography rather than about your photograph itself. Your shot is fantastic and I love it. Whoever tagged the left hand side of the wall really detracted from the Banksy piece itself though.

I disagree
Love the print
Love the tag next it it
At least learn who you are criticising.
Think about it . How fast and inside did you need to be to do the tag before the Perspex
Peace

If you are referring to me with the “At least learn who you are criticizing,” I’m not sure what you mean by that. I’m not sure who out the Haring inspired piece up but don’t particularly care. It doesn’t fit with the style of the rest of the graffiti and looks out of place. We are all entitled to our different opinions, but, if you are the one that did it, I’ll apologize if you were offended by my remark. I was just really commenting to tell the OP I like his work and to say that I don’t think anyone was being critical of his work.

It’s the point Just because it is by GOD Yes graffiti
I totally get that and what the point is, the Haring piece just isn’t that great and detracts from the rest of it. We can all have different opinions on these things.

Minnick detracted from the piece. He is a pretender Haring. The passing of the crown by a pretender would be interesting had Banksy been an overblown pretender to JMB.
Nonetheless, a wonderful photo.

'Banksy at the Barbican' Print for Sale , by Woodey1001 on Oct 24, 2020 23:44:33 GMT 1, Yeah I also remembered the guys taking tracings of the Banksquiat on the opposite side while the paint was still wet.
That would be a worthy shot for a print edition.

Thick skin?.. sound kind of fragile to me.
I honestly just think anyone can take this photo. Go there tomorrow, it's exactly the same. Download one of the hundreds from instagram.
The interest for this piece peaked as it was going up, before it got defaced and protected with reflective plastic.
Those are the shots I would buy anyway.

At least learn? Lol.
He was exhibiting locally, I think his show had just opened so he was in London at that gallery, and saw this go up on Instagram... so it's free promotion courtesy of Banksy.
Not 'inside' at all. Bullshit much 🙄

'Banksy at the Barbican' Print for Sale , by Woodey1001 on Oct 25, 2020 1:35:03 GMT 1, Anyway it's clearly why Mr Doodle is a thing.
Banksy and his mates at Southeby's hit back there, no? By promoting Mr Doodle so much?
If anyone will make it copying Haring.. it won't be the guy who defaced the mural at Barbican.
Peace.
