Would you get lucky hitting f5 and the unknown of when POW would crash! Pure heartache when you finally got one in your basket then the site went down before you could complete. Was very lucky to win the lottery for a VLH. Forum chat was very different back then.

Went to the Nick Walker show. Bought a Vandal Airways and when it arrived it hadn't been signed.
Sent it back and when it came back it had a "special" signature. Would love to know who has it now as I sold it to raise enough to buy a signed Banksy. Still like the image and maybe one to try and get again.
Am I only the only one who has repurchased prints that they once owned and then sold?

I’d say it’s more the pricks with the money that destroy everything. I agree but I'd qualify your point to say that not all folks with money are pricks. A common misquotation is 'money is the root of all evil' when, what apostle Paul actually says in his Epistles is 'love of money is the root of all evil' (I'm not given to following any particular religion but it's the origin of the quote). Plenty of folk have a lot of money and use it well and unobtrusively whilst others don't. |

Traveled down on the train with a mate, got to the venue and joined the queue. Got there quite early but there was already a long line of people. Very slow progress queuing. My mate gave up and went home without seeing the show once we realised you didn't have to queue to enter the draw. I stayed and did get to see the show.
Stand out from the show was the Bast 'Popeye' prints. Each one was hand customised by Bast.
It was bitterly cold and was very disappointing to see Kevin Spacey come out of the hotel opposite POW and to be ushered past the queue of us ordinary plebs and escorted straight in by one of the POW team.
My mate won the draw and bought the 'Very Little Helps' print.

My mate won the draw also, in fact he won both there Banksy and Micallef draws.
I was not so lucky - I framed it for him at the time, I assume he still has it.
Think I did a fair job with all conservation materials from Lion, shame the frame wasn't as white as the board and print, hopefully it's still mint for him.
