These 20-something kids have only been in the game a couple years and many of their supporters came from here. Shame Curtis and Christian and now saying f off like they're PACE or something. Why even advertise? Have 'inquire' and sell all on the quiet, job done rather than this silly little facade.

Not sure what exactly their goal is but I bet they want to become a 'proper' gallery, representing artists ( and not just getting the odd, un- planable print release )

Yes we will do an handfinshed version of Tomas Sanchez his print it will be an edition of 25 but we dont have photo's yet...

On the Kunath release, we never thought this will be so popular with a Calleja and Insect we know this but Kunath his past release never sold out quickly, so we thought we could keep the pre order time open for quite a while and we maybe should have had a more on public launch, or not advertise it.
As you guys know most of the time we do pre orders for most of our editions for people who really want it or are core collectors, on the collector cup it was just a joke haha maybe not smart to post but there where not bad intentions behind. He just really likes us and our story and support us from the beginning with buying almost our editions. As said it is really hard to try to keep everyone happy especially when we work with bigger artist and there is more demand.

On the other point, we dont wanna start a gallery and representing artist and we dont feel or act like Pace at all. Why we posted it on here is because people always told us that they liked that we are in the forums and groups etc and that is nice to read here about some more info about our upcoming editions, I also did not include launching dates in this thread and timings. and yes we know that we are young and not doing everything perfect, so we will listen carefully to you guys and trying to learn from our mistakes. As we did when this forum pointed out about or horrible packaging in the beginning, if we can find the perfect way about allocations to make everyone happy we will do of course, we just did not find it yet. But fair point about releasing or sending people to the website with only 2 editions don't make sense. Or at least we could have been more open about it from the beginning.

For the launch we only have 3 works available the other part we did on pre orders, the demand was really high and we felt we needed to do pre orders on most of them so make sure it will go to collectors that we know that won't flip this work the next day.

Appreciate the explanations, it’s honest and that’s to be applauded. But the honest truth is that pre-sales are basically close to the entirety of every one of these runs, no? And who gets the presale? Is it just a top down list of most works bought on avante? If so that’s fine, but I’d like to know who’s getting the invite time after time.

It should be the way. Those that support the entire program instead of buying fliptastic pieces.

Hey guys. Just following on from my post in June about our collaboration with Tomás Sánchez that’s launching next week. Tomás rarely works on editions so it makes this one even more special for us.
I mentioned last time that the original work was up for auction in June and since then it sold for $399,000 at Phillips in New York.

“Meditator en la orilla” features his signature figure meditating engulfed in a tall forest next to a body of water. The edition of 75 is a 23 colour fine art screen print on 410gsm Somerset enhanced white satin paper. If you’re interested please email curtis@avantarte.com for more information.

We are also producing a special hand-finished version of only 25 editions launching in a month’s time.

Dropping a banger sales result will most likely attract the flipper crowd.

Probably expand if he has had any museum shows and if curators the world have recognised him and are pushing him to become part of art history.
