My vote still goes to the Harland poster, agree, just a poster, but for me, holds other memories, i.e. visiting a great exhibition, and a top weekend in York.
However, after reading through all these great contributions I also realise I need to up my game in 2021, cant be believe I missed out/never realised about a lot of the great things posted so far.

middle of the year one of the Original Garbage Oceans drawings by Murmure!
And last but not least to end the year - H4-8 Keukenhof by Damien Hirst

Best of 2020!, by RoboJ on Dec 16, 2020 12:19:14 GMT 1, The Banksy values rising has been a huge help to the family. I bought some lovely Shrigley's and finally got selected for a Harland Miller! On a personal note I've loved playing with oil and painted my first piece, Forest Fires. And I'm super excited to be planning my first show for Summer next year with oil paintings, kinetic sculptures... its going to be a blast and quite different to gallery events. Hope you guys can make it.

So far it is not of interest to him! 😅

Seriously, her work is ridiculous. The brushstrokes are just wild - she is such an amazingly confident artist in the way she paints. She's crushing it.

Best of 2020!, by kfroms on Dec 17, 2020 11:01:40 GMT 1, Back in 2015, I bought a print by Tracey Emin - 'I kiss you ( Kentish Town ) Loved it, framed it, on the wall with it.
During the first lockdown, I decided to re-frame and sent it off to the framer. Where it never arrived. I was really gutted and heartbroken but hey, it was 2020 and shit just happened.
Seeing the lovely Neon by Emin currently on view at White Cube reminded me of my loss and I thought it may be worth contacting the publisher.
Got an email back a few days later: Yes, we still have one. With a slight damage but you can have it. At the cost I paid 5 years ago ( which was 100 GBP! )
One of the few really good news in 2020.

Best of 2020!, by Hairbland on Dec 17, 2020 12:01:26 GMT 1, Love the Ai Weiwei masks - I believe he was the first, teaming up with the Guggenheim, with all proceeds to excellent charities. He raised over $1.5M. I bought a handful, given as gifts, have the Sunflower Seeds at the framer giving it to my 16 yr old for Christmas - Ai Weiwei and the pandemic, talk about evoking feelings years after if catching a glimpse of. That’s art in action!
I also picked up the Haring Watari, and a Pettibon print prior to the craziness. I was disappointed to miss out on the recent Barry McGee print. I had a Kruger stool but they took so long to get back to me about payment that appropriate buyer’s remorse set in and I passed. I was going to try for a Murakami BLM but the app was a pain. I also picked up a neat piece by a new NYC street artist during lock down, Felix Morelo. And the Muhammad Ali photo through Magnum. I spoke with the York gallery, they had a poster for me but wouldn’t ship to US, being in NYC I particularly liked the phrase. Disappointed, now forgotten.

Other releases from artists I like have been too Covid related for my tastes, not stuff I would liek to put on my walls
Best art related thing for me this year though was selling 2 Mr Doodle originals for £10k combined that I picked up in 2017 for £20 - put towards our saving for a new house deposit

Best of 2020!, by brownbuffalo13 on Dec 17, 2020 19:10:37 GMT 1, nice thread, something positive! i had been after this barry mcgee for years, just never got around to pulling the trigger, but I was able to get it for less then cost from MOCA, gotta love that make an offer feature on artsy. You do know this is a Todd James, Barry McGee and Amaze print, right?
On and off, I've pondered buying one of these for 10 years now as they're still available at source since their release in 2010.
Thing that's kept putting me off is that there's only one hand sprayed tag (fulfilling the 'signed by the artist' description) that varies from print to print.
of course i know that! i was just being lazy, thank you for the correction.
the fact that amaze is part of the release is what really drew me to it, as he doesn't release any works.
i do agree with you about the signature aspect, its not really signed by the artists, its just that top corner tag that varies from print to print, getting it below cost thru moca def made it an easier buy. v1 and edition copenhagen have a handful of them left, maybe 10 combined or less. pm me and i can send you the photos of what is left edition wise if you're interested in seeing them.
