you would only buy the signed to resell and the unsigned to frame and seems taco has drymounted his.

I just don't understand people displaying these in their packaging...seems crazy to me - the only logic seems to be that you know you are going to sell them and they will be worth more on the secondary unopened. I just buy the unsigned, open it and keep the packaging for prov purposes - that way I actually get to enjoy them...

actually, like this! www.lazinc.com/artists/invader/original-art/882/
Maybe invader could start releasing them in perspex boxes like that??

I'm not interested in speculating on Invaders (or on art in general) I already speculate on stock exchange :-) But Art can still be an investment and it's good to keep in mind the best way to preserve the value of the piece. I wonder if opened/framed pieces are as much valued to collectors than unopened ones ? any idea about this ? That would be an expensive solution to buy both. It would be cool in Invader could consider a solution that would suit everyone (openers, non-openers) considering that packageing issue. I sent invader an email and a link to that thread... Maybe he'll read it and consider framing issues for next kits !

They're set in resin, not perspex actually - and they look the business - but £3K + VAT!
Anyone know about setting things in resin? I quite like to try this with one of my unsigned ones.

But better not miss the process There are also business gifts companies which make glass inclusion per unit but no idea about the cost. Check this one in France for example : gravure2d3d.com/inclusion-plexi/

Invader • Invasion Kits IK, by Strange Al on Apr 8, 2010 21:30:15 GMT 1, Love invader and am tempted every time a new IK comes up, though haven't been able to justify the expense as yet. As others have said, I think it's the fact you can make your own for under £10 that gets me. For those of you who fancy a weekend of arts and crafts, this place does an awesome selection of tiles: www.mymosaicworkshop.co.uk/shop/ If I were to buy an IK, I'd definitely go for a signed (not an option now). You could always frame the signed using a glass back on the frame. That way you can frame the tiles one side and the wrapper with signature on the back.

Looks better on a colored wall as you can obviously see it through the glass..

In the info the seller added today he says that it is an edition that was never numbered. I've got one IK1 and the back is slightly different. One of the differences is that IT IS numbered.
As long as it was an edition that was sold between 2000 -2003 maybe it had different backs but I would ask the seller more info. (Take note too about the different kind of photo between the front and the back. )
Maybe anyone that have more info on the IK1 can clearify...
All I want to say is Caution.

Yes. But surprisingly the Lot number he declares on the description is not the same showing on the front photo. Photo 2001. Description 2000. Mine 2002.
Is he using a front photo from another source? Why? The IK1 from 2000 were not numbered and the ones from 2002 were numbered?
As I said, I don't want to hurt any good seller but... eyes open...
