I get a bit twitchy wearing it on drunken days out such as going to the football etc so was very excited about the Omega moonswatches as a suitable alternative.
However, as per everything else they only seemed to be available in London and only then after hours of queueing as has been mentioned.
I'm keeping an eye on ebay but if anyone knows of a Moon or Mercury for sale at a reasonable price I'd be happy to have a look.

I hadn't even thought that far even though I already have a Nato strap on my Rolex.
Not a big fan of sweaty plastic or steel straps and the Nato's are much more comfortable and look really good.

I am assuming that, by placing an order, I'm in a different situation than those on the waitlist. Please correct me if I am wrong. This is Tourneau, so I am also hoping to create a long lasting relationship since they sell multiple brands.
I also really liked the 5396R, but the AD is going to check if an order can be placed for that one.

Came back today and the AD mentioned some dispute about various orders with PP, which cancelled some, and they will try to figure out what to do in the next couple of weeks. In the meanwhile they have the deposit...

In the meanwhile they have the deposit... I personally have never been asked to leave a deposit when a watch has been ordered, never a PP though. My SA has made it clear that the watch was being ordered for me and that I would be expected to purchase said watch. If you are serious about building a collection and your SA sees your are a genuine collector from my experience this only pays off in the long term. For me it is of upmost importance that you build a relationship with a genuine SA as these people will be your point of contact. |

I was told straight away that Rolex have shut the list on Daytonas, GMT Batman and green submariners.
I've put my name down for a sea dweller with the red writing so lets see how long it takes if it ever happens.

It's a nice watch, without all the hype it certainly isn't a £10,500 watch though, plenty better out their for that kind of money. If you know your watches, you can grab something a lot better than a sub for under £10K. Try Blancpain or Glausutte for starters. The JLC Polaris in green is also a great buy. Don't be like everyone else |
