Do it with wine in bond all the time. Pay VAT when you take it out for delivery. Pretty standard

They must be looking for investors with this release. In theory you could buy all 8 for £17000 (I’m not sure on the vat situation it’s a bit confusing). Then store all 8 with heni for about £1500 a year which is 9% of the purchase price. So as long as they appreciate by over 9%pa (which they probably will) you will be quids in and I think there are lot of people who will take this option (myself not included). However the market will be flooded for years with these so any investors will have to hang on for a looong time.

It just doesn't sit right with me. If you buy something then you should pay your taxes imo. It just helps helps the rich get richer without paying their share.
Ps. Can I build a house at one of these ports and fill it with art and luxury stuff while drinking fine wine Vat free?

From an investment POV? 1 and 7 are the most different so potentially desirable, 2 is completely fucked not sure what he was going for with the gravity defying branches. I agree. Number 2 looks downright weird. Definitely the worst of the bunch.

Thick, high gloss white, 1/2” face, x 2” wide, with the piece suspended in a 3/16” float. Such a large piece needs a thick frame as opposed to skinny. Wouldn’t look right in anything less than 2” wide sides and 1/2” wide face imho.

Too many asset classes have fast returns in a world awash with liquidity, and past-performance-future-returns types without deep pockets will buy these and be quickly disappointed. They’ll dump them, unless of course the Fruitful/Forever experience discourages buying in the first place.
Personally I like them, and I’m quite pleased/hopeful that they will be a terrible investment so that this market can become less speculative and more buy & hold. That combined with higher release prices would be a good thing.

I don't think you can drink the wine VAT free...but you 100% can build the house VAT free.
There is zero VAT on any building costs for a new build house.
Of course, as it doesn't sit right with you, if you wanted to send a cheque for what the VAT would have been I know that Rishi would appreciate it.
