Charity Auction - Banksy, Eine, Dface, Top Comic Artists, by Imoy-San on Mar 10, 2021 12:34:21 GMT 1, Hi Peeps, I'm helping a friend (Wendy Tait) raise funds for a project that's helped her through several bouts of mental health illness.
Dalton Leisure Centre in the Lake District is the last charity run leisure centre in the U.K. Like many charities it has struggled during and between lockdowns and needs support to stay open. The leisure centre has been vital in helping with her enduring mental health problems.
Wendy organises the comic art festival I attend in Kendal. It was originally set up to help her nephew deal with learning difficulties - he loves comics.
Wendy asked whether I'd do some art for their auction, but I am not an artist, so I offered one of my Banksy "More Seating Upstairs" cards, and buffin has donated posters by Eine and DFace, Cans Festival programme, and the Think Tank songbook.
That's fine, BUT the more important items such as original sketches of Walking Dead by Charlie Adlard, Sean Phillips, Nick Brokenshire (200AD), Simon Thorp (VIZ), and many more.
