You wanted me won maybe ๐ค Anyway, yes an expensive book that will never be sold out ( 5000 ex ) as mostly all the Shrigley books ( I just had one ) The problem is that in 18 months... even the books will be sold out. David will become highly collectible and his prices will go up. Congratulations to those who bought his works from the beginning. Not sure, Shrigley produces a lot, quick drawnings and or paintings.
It's his style and he has a public.
In UK mostly, even J. Brooks is tweeting his artworks, or artists from the past, famous old guards on here too have great opinions on the man and his artworks.
It's in fact a phenomenon, he was at Dismaland too, quite involved in the " goodies " to won at the stall ( I heard that only the gold fish was from Banksy himself, Bling by Pins and Bast, Balloon, ping pong balls at the first stall - I did not won one, just a wrist band ).
Sometimes I make confusion with David Cullen. But David Shrigley is very popular.
I don't really know what to think in fact.
Mister Bingo is quite funny and more ironic , Dr Plip that was a member on here is quite excellent too ( if you read me, I m still watching my Letter box as the Messiah - postmen are quite stealing my mails anyway )...
So, to finish, is Shrigley will stay as a major artist ( in street-art or contempary art ) ? ... Well I could not tell.
He has great fans ( as Dran in another side ) , and as all disturbing artists, he has his detractors too.

You leave me speechless!... You know so much... and it shows you like the art of these!... Others also know a lot!... I'm happy to learn as much as possible in here... thanks a you. I believe that the "artistic moment" is the same one created more than 100 years ago. The collectors of that era... now it's you... and your private collections could be your best ever.
Obviously... everyone according to their own spending possibilities... but still important!
Think about it? Imagine that right now... you... were sitting in a cafe in Paris... and you were talking to me about Renoir (as you are now talking about David)!... Or you were talking about Picasso... Van Gogh. .. Frida Kahlo... like when you talk about Banksy!... Fantastic!... Maybe you have another opinion in here... but I believe that time is this time!... With the difference.. . that today... thanks to the internet... we have a large free encyclopaedia at our fingertips... and the best art dealers available!... And obviously the possibility of getting to know the Artists... without even going out home to go and see where they live.
I think all of this is wonderful. We should also thank ... whoever created this "platform / forum" ... because everything that will be, is passing around here!
I'm off topic... but I let myself be carried away by the imagination. I am a dreamer.
Just imagine... I had the dream... many months before... that Banksy then painted the wall of Reading prison.
