My point was simply that this board more and more feels like a reddit board dedicated to art investment as opposed to an art forum where people are introduced to and discuss artists and movements, as opposed to value.
It's expected though given that the majority of members buy and sell art religiously. This forum is mainly used as a vehicle for hyping up purchases with multiple accounts, posting fake "Looking to buy.." posts. If you want to discuss art, it's probably best to befriend the artists themselves rather than the "collectors."

It’s hard to tell what is really “sold out” properly. I mean having Pre sales for a month + is kind of cheating as well. I know many artists and galleries who hold prints from releases for themselves and other resellers. It’s part of “creating” a market..
And more than half the releases are bought to flip so we never know what the true demand for the artist is. Who knows how many unsold prints are just sitting in seller's flatfiles and tubes. It all just seems like a huge pyramid scheme, each person looking for another richer fool to sell off to.

Mason Storm has allegedly hidden a piece of art somewhere and giving clues. I like a challenge to solve but unless its behind my bins i wont be picking it up.

I think that’s how most collecting and financial markets are unfortunately.
