Thanks Dice. Probably a good chance then of picking one up when all the fuss has died down. this is one of the best Peter print for the car boot, I bought one on ebay for 225 and I think those will go up when the one on ebay sold next week, Is a large print not A3 like last year. |

I picked up the letterpress one from 2011 from a fellow forum member some time ago but I think 2013 is better again. First couple on the Bay have gone for £250+ but reckon this could push on as the remaining ones sell. Wouldn't surprise me if they end up over the 300 mark......probably a decent price for a decent print.

Why not just sell the Whatson to fund the Blake? Baffles me why so many people waste their time putting swap offers out there. The chances are so slim. Am I missing something? Is it the thrill of possibly not receiving after you have sent?

very true, I guess I was just thinking if another collector on here I trusted it would be easy to do. I know I can sell the Chinooks for more than the Blake goes for, I was just trying to do a good deal for someone, but I would not send this print first unless I have done business with them prior. Probably just buy the Blake and keep the Whatson, I really do love it?? We will see, wife thinks its dumb to not sell it and just buy the Blake also, so who knows....cheers!

Trades are much more interesting, and it has been done for thousands of years. Part of the reason I have never sold any art is that 99% of the art I have I would rather have the art than the money it is worth. Especially if you have something in demand... someone might offer a trade they would never sell outright. When I was trading the Geddes prints (that I still have) I was offered 2 separate Harrington studies that I never saw for sale. Actually everything I was offered I never saw for sale on here.
I am sure that if I offered up a trade for my Dolk GWTeddy canvas, I would get something that is worth more than the dollar figure I have already been offered.
