Art Car Boot Fair, by Deleted on Jun 12, 2016 16:39:37 GMT 1, Top day out and the Boot Fair back was back to its best this year. The rain definitely didn't put anyone off. Good to catch up with about half the forum and even Chyren made a rare guest appearance with traditional queuing refreshments :-) Fave purchase were a couple of Lucy Sparrows' who's brilliantly bonkers.

There was some great stuff to see but the weather when I was there was pretty grim, hefty queues for Pure Evil - would have liked to have picked up a Bowie, since his death there's not really been many prints that I'd hang.

I got there at 1pm and not a soul around PE's stall....had loads of prints left.
Missed the rain fortunately...turned out bloody warm!

Managed to get someone to look after the kids so it was nice for the wife and i for a few hours.
Anyway, quick question. I picked up a canvas on impulse from stall just to the right of Pam Hogg (one stall along), basically my wife liked it and it was a very good price (and she wasn't that taken with my Walker, so i was balancing the spend out, kinda!). Anyway the artist wasn't there but neighbour did the deal (it was pishing down at that point). Apparently the fella was wearing a bright green suit but no one could find him at the time. She said his name was 'David Renwick', but I've checked the line up and no one by that name is even listed? Can anyone help clarify? Ta

Totally agree with this. I was at pure evils printers the day of Bowie's death and they had the full print edition drying out. They'd been working on it for weeks. Not his style.
