Art Car Boot Fair, by Forbidden Love on Jul 9, 2017 4:32:04 GMT 1, Seriously - how can you be so nasty and vindictive? Not everyone is sleeping overnight to make a quick flip. The oraganisers from artonapostcard stated that the people in the queue would not be secured a print. We took a photograph of us all to show we were not 'flippers' - there may be a few - always will be. Basicly I am sat here in the queue, am trying to get some sleep. Now had racist comments and have been hit with a ball - sounds fun to you?
Last comment stated those 40 queuing will be given a ticket

As I stated, they only relented after we send a photograph to them of all of us. I am sure now they will do the right thing, but this statement lead to a lot of tension, with people getting unpleasant. I am not responsible for what they said. They should have the courage of their convictions and stuck to their original plan. It is not good natured and causes bad feeling and animosity to the people queuing. We sent s phototgraph for art on a postcard to revert back to their original plan. This caused a lot of unnecessary animosity.
I like the art on a postcard ethics and am always happy to support them. I just feel the judgement of this thread actually caused this unnecessary situation for all the people in the queue

They seem a bit disorganised and unprepared for something that was always going to attract feverish interest. The 10 that went online in 10 seconds might have given them a clue.

Next year the queue will start on a Friday, 40 people will just rock up and force the tickets... then people get angry, adults fight over art and people just can't be arsed putting events on in future as it's more hassle than it's worth.

Agree - all should be in good spirits. The confusion if people were going to get a print caused much upset. I think we all collectively tried to assure the art on a postcard people we were fans, I am sure there may be one or two with a different agenda, always going to be the case.
All issues regarding the racist remarks have been resolved as some misconstrued and all people in the queue are happy campers...

Have to agree, the first 40 in the Q won't be getting the 40 prints. Odd to suggest that the 40 are dedicated HM fans and not flippers there to buy said postcard to resell for a quick buck.

I will never forget that train journey home and not getting a CYW, qued all night and it was so disheartening , had a great night but the pushing and shoving at the end was horrible,mine had a happy ending with a que jumper but I fear a few people will have that journey home with no happy ending

I hope that's not the case I've been here all night but we will see. Atomospheres been great, but it seems there unwilling to offer any sort of organisation towards the que at the moment which is poor, especially as people are making the effort to que for up to 24hours.
