Good to pick up a few nice things for under 250 notes and to meet some interesting people.

His prints were being pretty brutally packaged - don’t think they were prepared for quite how popular they’d be - so mine has a small ding, but reckon most will.
I had a nice chat with him once it all calmed down, later in the day.
He was shocked by the rush on his stall. Said he only had 50 pre-rolled and it was all a bit chaotic for the first hour or 2!
Lovely guy though.

I think next year I'll try to plan to be there for several hours so I can talk to the artists. And I'll bring a big portfolio to put prints in. Once it fills up you're at strong risk of everything getting crushed unless you can store them. Carrying the large, flat-packed Baker and a rolled Joyce in a plastic sleeve, it got a bit stressful getting near any busy stalls.

Lovely guy though. Yeah, he handled it as best he could and they were trying to be fair to everyone. Felt a bit sorry for them. Clearly overwhelming. People start to act really entitled in the scramble for a print. Most were nice and kept an eye on who was ahead of them, but a few just waltz up and try to shove in. Anyway, hope he had a good day. He certainly should have done quite well out of it. I feel like they should have priced the print a bit lower than £150, which is more expensive than the other colourways that were much smaller editions. At £100ish a couple of bumps on the edges don't really matter. At £150 I'd expect an unmarked print. The Charming Baker prints were very well packaged, all in cardboard envelopes ready to go. I think next year I'll try to plan to be there for several hours so I can talk to the artists. And I'll bring a big portfolio to put prints in. I'm also not convinced that the print quality is as good as the 1st edition with the silver background, presumably it wasn't prouduced by Jealous (it doesn't have the stamp), edition size of 150 vs 36.

There is a print releasing soon in Manchester again (like the Manchester release last year). Couple of variants and it looked good. Had a chat with him during his recent trip up doing a piece on the wall of the Refuge.

"But I've been waiting! I have an advance ticket!" "When did you arrive, sir?" "15 minutes ago!" "Some people have been here since last night" "I DON'T BELIEVE YOU". He was sent to the back of a 500-person queue.
Some people seemed under the impression they had the only advance tickets. Most people in the queue were lovely.
