Think the 1st thirty were fine. Then came the unexpected rush and the rest were packed like a game of Whac-A-Mole. Hopefully the remainder are in good nick

Indeed, I don't know if/when an additional copy went up for sale. I'm pretty sure the list price was £1000 last week.

Art Car Boot Fair, by Forbidden Love on Sept 17, 2018 15:44:55 GMT 1, Had a great day yesterday and spent far too much money, picking up work by Charming Baker, Nancy Fouts, Rachel Howard, James Joyce, Heath Kane, Chris Levine, Lucas Price, Jamie Reid & James Cauty. It was actually nice being able to wander round and pick things up without a mad rush for once. Great to see some regulars in the queue ( Dice , Forbidden Love , pezlow ) and personally thought the location this year was the best yet. Good to see that those overnighters at the front of the queue were rewarded with the opportunity to buy the Anish Kapoor as there was a concern that most would go to stall holders/hangers-on before the event even opened. I also must applaud the security team this year - as @whatilike said, there were a number of people who mysteriously seemed to join the front of the ticket holders queue 15 mins before the doors opened, who were called out and had to join the back of the ticket queue. Good to see you too mate...Looks like you had a good day out shopping, picked up some great pieces.
I thought this year was really great, was quite a buzz so thought the venue worked quite well.
I think the security guy did mange to sort it out. The staff had a bit of panic and nightmare on how to let people in and who was queueing where, who was to be let in first whilst stall holders without bands coming to the front to get in. This part needs more work. I think next year they have to add more barriers to show exactly where the queue will begin.
There was a moment where around 20-30 people thought they would queue just by the entrance in front of the main queue which had started at 10am on Saturday morning. Being at the front I went over there and spoke to the manager who then asked all of them to go back to the queue. some of the guys in that line were very disgustingly rude and shouted back at the security guy, to which I turned to him to say "I had queued 25 hours"...he shouted back saying 'im not disagreeing with you, but I have also been queuing" Not sure what he was trying to say. Chancer
If your on this forum and you read this....I think your a complete p*ick!
they all then got moved to the back - but still at this point there was people just crowding to the gate and not really queuing in a line. I think this part is the part that needs to be prevented by the extra barrier to stop the crowding at the entrance

Agreed. It was a really good atmosphere. Rachel Howard was a highlight. I'm starting to think I should have paid more attention to the Phillip Colbert stand too. The Anish Kapoor is an open Edition, there will definitely be more, how many I'm not sure. Being at the front of the queue I was able to get my hands on the Kapoor....lucky there were still a good number left for when doors opened. I also heard a few people say open edition....but how can it be? it said it was an edition of 12 and also states this on the COA. I really doubt Kapoor will be signing endless amounts of these. We asked the girl working on the stall but all she said was...'we don't know yet as we need to speak with the artist'.
Anyway the big signature made this print for me and looked really good in the frame. The James Joyce print also looked awesome. I bought one of these too..not sure why they didn't pre pack them all in tubes. Can only think of transport reasons but this also as proven in this case can easily lead to damaged prints.
there was a lot of great art as everyone else has mentioned and had a great buzz through the day. I now need a week to recover.

The original Instagram post announcing the print said £75 at ACBF, then the same price for a week after online, then £150 if any were left after that. Picked one up at ACBF and would definitely still have gone for it at £150. Absolute bargain for a print with a unique drawing at its centre. Amazed it didn't sell out at the fair.

They do look nice, but what's it all about? Or are they just a fancy piece of paper with his signature? Are they related to another of his artworks or a theme?

There was a thread on here recently about calming the language down so as not to upset the 'ladies' on this forum so just for clarity women swear and most are quite capable of holding their own opinions and arguments. Thing is its not the swearing its the sexist, racist, homophobic and the general 'I am richer than thou, know it all attitude, that pisses people off, female or male? So obviously when I chk'd in today the first post I read was the 'lesbian' post and since I'm a bit long in the toof nowadays perhaps I missed the weird millennial attempt at comedy. I've worked with quite a few artists over the last 20+ years and I can confirm that most would not condone bigotry or discrimination of this type. In fact many of the successful one's make their life's work about fighting such crass and backward idea's. I had a wonderful day yesterday, first time I haven't been....I've neither queued or paid since the start..... I'm such an idiot! Although I really liked the Weatherall print I chose the Jimmy Cauty V's Jamie Reid Collab for my wall Boudica is Coming .....so some of you lot need to watch out Anyway rant over and a holiday from the forum for while ......see ya! Its only human nature, we all lose the head on here at some stage......well apart from shy

Art Car Boot Fair, by Deleted on Sept 17, 2018 23:19:21 GMT 1, Agreed. I now need a week to recover. glad you got one. The golden ticket holders us two held off. No point if your just going to sell. Best going to collectors. We got 2 Rachel Howards. Ryca a Baker and 2 camille phoenix pieces. Did Perry turn up. The lady in the pink urban arts association vest was a staff member of the art car boot and that high vi's vest was left at brick Lane in 2016, they picked it up and are using it. They are not a member of this forum.

I don't want to open new wounds but, just for the record, I want to point out that the so-called 'lesbian' post did not contain "bigotry or discrimination" Neither was it derogatory in any shape or form. It was neither sexist, racist nor homophobic. What I was trying to do (badly, it seems) is to poke fun at the 99.9% male membership of this forum. In fact, on this particular thread, I was not aware of any regular female contributors until someone started to rant and rave against me. I was making a joke about the fact that a female must be masquerading as a male on these forums. If anyone is interested (which I'm sure they are not) I am gay myself so I would hardly be homophobic. Anyway, apologies if anyone was genuinely offended, although I still can't see why they should be. I will keep to discussing the art from now on.

They are not a member of this forum. Thank you Bartosz. I was genuinely interested to know who it was as I have never met any other UAA members in the flesh before. I was curious to know if it was a name I would recognise on here. Anyway, thanks for your input. Appreciated.

Art Car Boot Fair, by Deleted on Sept 18, 2018 10:45:47 GMT 1, Wonder why they're POA.
They are still £75 but I think due to the limited amount available you have to ring to purchase. I rang and purchased yesterday they told me they had less than 10 available after ACB so rather than risking a rush on the website and possible over selling they wanted people to ring to purchase so they can manage the stock. It's not very clear on the site.
