Art Car Boot Fair, by Dibbs 45 on Sept 28, 2019 19:02:10 GMT 1, I thought the fair was the worst so far. The juno stall unfairly sold two and three prints a person, which meant quite a few people missed out. A lot recycled stuff from London as well at the fair and no buzz.
It didn't help it was in some dingy car park with very little, light. The Paul insect stall was a bun fight. People had queued from the early hours, for people who were already 8n there (for some reason) to rush the woman with tickets, and not know what they were queuing for.

I wasn’t interested in the Paul Insect, which probably helped. Most of the crowd flocked there on opening.

I agree. I popped in to look at the Baker print and was underwhelmed to say the least. Left with nothing which is a first for me. I did like a few of the Vic Reeves works, very quirky. I didn't see any Polly M works, did I miss them?

Agree, compared to my other Baker prints I thought the quality looked poor and rushed, hence walking away.

Good to know as that’s the only thing I liked there. Not even the Insect one.

Art Car Boot Fair, by jeeves on Sept 29, 2019 15:54:32 GMT 1, Best thing of the day - they pulled out some amazing hand coloured originals by Paul Insect. One colour screenprimt totally hand coloured by Paul Insect for £600 - bargain! The sheet is about 70 x 50 cm. they only had a handfull and all are coloured differently.
Managed to grab one of these! Was first in line after the print ran out, so annoying. It’s an edition of 50 but there were only 37 available, guess the others went to staff on the stand and their mates.. At that point they gave out a small number of tickets to come back later and buy one of these hand coloured pieces

At that point they gave out a small number of tickets to come back later and buy one of these hand coloured pieces I was lucky. I just happened to go up to the stall to see on the off chance if I could get a print. They said all gone, but after they have a coffee they will release something special and they will give tickets out again. there were like only 10 people there, most still waiting to pay for the print. So i waited and they they pulled out the gems! They were basically giving away free colouring sheets for the kids, and then there were some other ones the same design, but they were all hand coloured by Paul Insect, all coloured differently from each other. I asked how many were available and they said only a handful, all different. Well pleased, they are great and basically originals. Oh and all Signed and signed differently, in different colours.

Art Car Boot Fair, by cropper8686 on Sept 29, 2019 17:21:20 GMT 1, Am I missing something, did people really buy those colouring sheets for 600 quid that he'd doodled on because he was a bit bored or was it something else?
Anyway that aside I really enjoyed it, it was my first one so maybe that helps but I thought it had a good atmosphere, had a chat with a few people and the weather was big plus too, it was a shame that there were some that were being allowed to buy more than one of certain things when it was pretty clear that they were only buying to sell but you're never fully going to be able to stop people selling on if that's what they want to do.
