Which signed Banksy for 5 grand?, by rains on Apr 11, 2008 18:47:07 GMT 1, Have saved up some cash to buy my first signed piece. Thought the saving up was hard work - but now have the greater trouble of choosing which piece I want.
Obviously market forces prevent me from buying certain prints - no higher than ยฃ5k.
So can I get some guidance please - which signed Banksy is worth the past 18 months of me taking a second job washing pots and bar work?

There's a Love Rat at ยฃ4k on ebay at the moment although I doubt it'll stay that way.

Sadly my faves are close to double your budget, but I love my colour Trolleys and would strongly recommend getting one for around ยฃ2.5k and you could grab loads of other art to go with it or splash out on a holiday to celebrate!!!

Id go one 2.5k Banksy a couple of originals from a lesser hyped artist and a cheap u/s Banksy ;D

I would agree with most, Colour Trolleys and S & S, should set you right.

Tis an excellent idea HC. Considering that too. It's just a case of which ones! So many that I love, even unsigned, which is why I've asked for all your valuable input and tips and being pointed in the right direction.
And there are those on here that think it's for nefarious reasons! Shame on you - I'm just a fan; a kid in a sweetshop, excited about buying my first Banksy and vibing off everyone elses love too.

I hate reading these hard-luck, I got screwed stories, when the buyer has been pis$ing into the wind to save a hundred quid. IMO once you're committed to buying a banksy, pennypinching is potentially an expensive business when it becomes more important that common sense!

I would ask them for emails of people who had bought previously in advance too. This should be OK if you're gonna drop thousands of quid with a stranger imo!

But for your budget... the perfect in between I think spending around 5k for an AUTHENTIC signed Jack and Jill is the way to go. Its a classic. Maybe even a CND if you prefer that.
