Hi Joe,
many thanks for the very clear explanation. I bought one on secondary and would like to mint a couple. lets be pessimistic on gas fees, how much do you think we would need to mint one? 0.08+0.5 per? less?
This would be my first NFT Purchase. Any advice ? I see the price is 0.08ETH but have to factor in the Gas Fee too i believe? Also where can i buy on secondary market now ? Thanks! If it is a standard type release then this could result in a gas war which could require paying gas of a few hundred dollars to process the transaction. There is NFT project that I came accross called Dejenerates. It is NFT characters that include 30 high profile DJs and other types of characters. They have partnered with Amnesia nightclub and some the DJs have mentioned it on social media. It seems a cool project. The sales seem slow at the moment but some nice NFTs for around $100. Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Oakenfold, Van Dyk, Maceo Plex, Nick Warren and loads more will have their NFT characters on it. opensea.io/collection/djenerates-clubbing-editiondjenerates.com/Interesting. In theory, gas could be that high but if I was expecting gas at that level I would honestly just buy off secondary. Some of the time with these popular drops you will actually save money avoiding the gas war.

He could be one of the remaining 11 to be revealed. I havent been at a Solomun gig, but have been to Pacha a few times.

No i can mint quite a bit but since i just getting into the game and that i need to understand that 5ETH is REAL money i want to be careful. I feel like i am in the matrix right now... no control whatsoever
When you go onto the website at mint time you will be asked to connect your Metamask wallet. Once connected you will select to mint 1-5 of the NFTs and Metamask will give you a recommended quote for gas based on traffic at the time. I burned a solid .3 the first mint I went for, I thought something was broken and I kept hitting the signature and sending another one through because I didn't see the transactions coming up in the list on my metamask. My gas wasn't high enough and none of the transactions resulted in a mint. Painful lesson to learn
