I wonโt be paying till I get amended and an email chasing me for money. same. additionally i received an email from avant today to say pay the invoice to avoid accruing any additional costs from fedex

Only way to get back is through visa disputes through your bank. Nationwide got mine back after wasting loads of time with fed ex. Avante art were v nice particuly Kwabs in england but seemed powerless with fed ex. Suprised the next Paul insect print was also sent by fed ex considering what happened.

As soon as FedEx saw the 'original' classification, that's when we get done for 20%

Did FedEx clarify if AA provided an import code on the invoice and any corresponding shipping/flight documents? If these are correctly stated then FedEx are liable. This has certainly been my past experience with them, including one item purchased from AA which did have the correct import tariff code on corresponding paperwork. It took quite a bit of effort to resolve with FedEx but I did eventually resolve it. I think I posted about it in a thread on here previously.

I understand you have been waiting a while for this to be resolved, this is taking longer than we initially expected and I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. We are doing all we can on our end to ensure this is sorted as soon as possible''
