"Gallery have stated that the goods are archival pigment print on fine art paper unfortunately there is no mention of limited numbers or that any of the below criteria have been met.
My colleagues have submitted an appeal to try and have the charges altered however unfortunately there is no guarantee that they will do so and it does take several months for them to do so.

Occasionally you can get away with the 5% if they don't check the labeling too closely or if they give a cursory glance at your paypal/visa receipt etc. The Parla release wouldn't qualify for reduced import rates. |

I was surprised when so many of us was charged 5% as it is essentially a poster (albeit an expensive one).
I was personally prepared to pay 20% as thought I could never argue that it was an original art or was within the criteria you have included.
I know that it is frustrating that a few people have been charged 20%, but I personally donโt think there is much of a case.
As someone who has bought from overseas quite a lot in the last few years, it really is hit and miss with sometimes paying nothing, 5% or 20%.

Iโve sent multiple emails to FedEx email ukinvoicequery@fedex.com and havenโt had any reply and today I received a final notice instructing me I have 10 days to pay before it gets taken further.

If I have any kind of issue/complaint with a company I always Google the CEOโs email address. They tend to have their own complaints team and stuff generally gets dealt with a bit more promptly. Iโve had luck with BT/Aviva/IKEA/SSE. Turns out I just really like complaining.

Perfect condition and still in the awesome packaging in which it was delivered.
ยฃ600 all in and I'll arrange the shipping within the UK.

There have been some awesome frame jobs done on these.
Still trying to decide on the combination I prefer between black and white frames and mounts.
You'd think it would be simple enough but they all look so good.

Then explain the purpose of pipes post? Was pipes warning the seller of what could happen by openly posting it openly on the forum Opposed to PMโing the op? Itโs what we in nyc call dry snitching. Maybe avant arte missed the for sale Post but Seeโs the comment in new posts? If itโs all in fun then itโs all in fun until someone gets blacklisted. This was definitely not a flip as I didn't make any money on it, nor did I intend to. I literally got over a dozen DMs about this print and could've easily charged more or listed it on eBay. And, to hairbland's point, when I ordered the print back in October, we weren't planning on doing the level of remodel we ended up needing to do. As we got into the project it was clear that the previous owners had no idea what they were doing and we had to fix a lot of what they did so costs have gone way up! Anyway, print has been sold, just wanted to address the concerns. |
