VAT will be added by customs once it arrives here and billed via the courier. In theory, this would (I think!) be liable for a 20% fee/duty as it’s not “hand pulled” (but I’m sure someone will be along to confirm). You may find it’s eligible for 5% but I’d probably be prepared for 20%. Avant Arte are incredibly helpful if you contact them and do their best to ensure that the correct import tariff code is visible on all attached paperwork. Not sure how helpful my reply is!

It's a relatively common practice. To sum it up, no, they really cannot do anything about you reselling a piece unless they contact the auction house and ask them to take it down or not list it. If the auction house has a good relationship with them they will honor the terms of the agreement. Expect to be blacklisted if you get caught.

Avant Arte needs people to resell their editions for profit to encourage more people to ‘invest’ in future releases. Much as people go on about the love of art a large proportion of buyers are in it for the money/investment. Same with the art world in general.
