Some other brilliant suggestions too and thanks very much for all the info so far..
Deffo need to pull the Monet exhibition in and a good few galleries with luck.

Visit PARIS ๐ซ๐ท France Street Art, Galleries, Events, by shaunq on Sept 27, 2010 16:14:04 GMT 1, Poppysunshine. U need to go to the Belleville district and check out the abundance of street art, loads of shop shutters, walls, doors, buildings, everywhere ( it's north of the river ).
Go to Belleville Metro station and look across the road for the "1984" above a chinese take-away, then head left a few yards for the entrance to the 1st street on the right with masses to see down all those roads round there. 3-4 hours of walking/taking fotos will only cover half of it !
You will not be disappointed ! loads of pieces by Nemo / Jerome Mesnager / Ouvrier / Mosko & Associes and many many others.
Also, suggest you go to Rue Mouffetard and walk along it ( not far from Jardin des Plantes south of the river ). Half way along you'll find a side street with an archway entrance with LOTS of fantastic Jef Aerosol pieces and an abundance of other stuff in the same area. I was there again recently for about 2 hours just taking fotos !
Also, you MUST go to "La Frigo" for graffiti heaven ( 5 minutes walk from the Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand, also south of the river ). An old building currently squatted by artists, covered in Graffiti, including vans, bins, walls, the floor. Fantastic foto opportunities there !
Just a few non-gallery suggestions for you, if you've got a BIG memory card for your camera

i understand bro!! you should take her to the public part of it tho, bit macabre, but really worth the walk down! dont do the guided tour tho, it works out quite expensive if you do - you can buy the self tour tickets for a few euros
have a good time and makje sure you get to the monet exhibition

Take care in london !... its just scaremongering. Fear is just a way of controlling people. Seriously.. If there really was a terror plot it would be a secret to help catch them
Have a great time and takes lots of images of the art !!

Visit PARIS ๐ซ๐ท France Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Deleted on Oct 8, 2010 7:50:51 GMT 1, As said in an another thread, don't forget about the unlimited national strike starting on 12th of October (train, subway, etc.). It's unlimited, so it can last 10 days or even more. Don't forget that in 1995, France was paralyzed for two consecutive months.
Just watch the news before planning any trip to France ! Thx

Larry Clark exhibition is getting media attention because Paris's city council has decided to ban entrance to the exhibition to minors (< 18) because of explicit content (sex, drugs, etc.)
It's not the first time that an exhibition is ban to minor but it is extremely rare !!! Everybody is speaking about this, an exhibition for teenagers banned to minor...
Funniest part of the story, see yesterday's "Liberation" front page !! q.liberation.fr/photo/id/197888/r/03/02

Visit PARIS ๐ซ๐ท France Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Poppy Sunshine on Oct 8, 2010 10:06:44 GMT 1, The Monets were brilliant, Murakami was brilliant, stumbled into the Mr Brainwash gorilla and giant cans by total accident, won at the horses and the weather was great.
Complete result of a weekend and thanks to everyone for all the suggestions.
Looks like the thread may run a bit with all the new suggestions coming up so hopefully any impending strikes won't stop any trips anyone has planned in the near future. Loads to see and a great place to see it.
How come the Japanese are absolutely bonkers for Chanel and Louis Vuitton? They were queueing at every branch of both shops and coming out with stacks of stuff which must have cost as mush as buying a car. And that's not the odd one either. They were all spending like there's no tomorrow. I thought nobody had any money!
