Totally true. One hundred times better an original than a copy. Fekner and Leicht are giants and true Space Invaders. The pride of a collection.

Mine says "in process" too. But had the shop reach out to me earlier in the week to confirm my home address.
I've also only signed up once, didn't use multiple email addresses, and never purchased from him before.
I'm from central MA too. About an hour outside of Boston.
If needed to clear up any conspiracies... I think I just got lucky!

Well... none of them came up with the original design of the space invaders, so they're *all* copies if you want to look at it like that. Does it matter who copied first?

Warhol did not invent the Campbell's soup pot or Hirts the medicine cabinets, but they were the first to bring them to art. Without a doubt this is the important thing.

Sure, but Invader's invader wasn't a solid shape cut out of metal, it replaced the tile with the pixel, and then the placement & repetition- the art was in the execution. Does Shephard Fairey have a monopoly on repetition in street art because he did it first? Does Warhol have a monopoly on repetition because he did it first? Do the Romans have a monopoly on mosaic?
I think it's ridiculous to say they "own" the space invader in art because they used an image (that at the time was contemporary, and is now iconic) first. But, to each their own, such is the subjectivity of art- you're free to not like or value Invader's contribution.

If that had been the case, 38k people would have gotten the email.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by yoss on Nov 3, 2021 23:30:17 GMT 1, I wonder when Invader is going to start his own “pest control office”? It’d be nice to have a COA or something. I’ve been reading the Digart/Invader thread and it said two items were not auctioned due to authentication issues (fake). How is anyone supposed to know if an invasion kit or alias is real if purchasing on the grey market? (Not that I could afford one anyway…but it’d be nice to know the fugazi from the treasure with no doubts…)

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by timtim on Nov 4, 2021 1:20:57 GMT 1, The Digard team thanked the Invader team at the begining of the auction for their support in authenticating the works being sold. Seems to me they are the ones who spotted the 2 fakes but I might be wrong. Some sort of a pest control team but maybe more for VIPs such as auction houses or galleries and not necessarily for any random owner of an invasion map. Maybe it's just about sending an email and waiting for their answer?

You could ask at local museums or galleries if they can recommend a good one. Maybe there are forum members on here who can recommend a good framer in your country. In the end it comes down to trust and reputation.

Invader Alert 2020 Print, by Viennese on Nov 4, 2021 5:26:57 GMT 1, Sorry, it was not my intention to worry anyone
And it’s not the country! It’s just that my framer at home is very traditional (and does a lot of work for museums) and I am pretty sure he hasn’t even heard of Invader yet. He has in the past also looked funny at some of the things I brought him so I think he is low risk
Even with insurance or a contract, I guess I would never know whether I received back a fake… so, yes, it comes down to trust and reputation ….or asking to be present when they do it?

Do you sleep well at night?
But seriously, this logic could be applied to delivery people, house movers, cleaners, builders etc
You think if you take your Rolex to get a battery replaced the jewellers swap it with a fake, or a jeweller swaps your wife’s diamond on her engagement ring for a fake.
It’s a bit OTT
